"Free, local, and powerful balanced editor for simple and advanced edits"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kdenlive?

Kdenlive gives me a good balance between simple editing and advanced controls. I use it for editing tutorials, presentations, and short videos where I need multiple video and audio tracks. The timeline is easy to organize, and features like keyframes, transitions, and title editing give me enough flexibility without requiring expensive software. Since it's free and runs locally, I can work on projects whenever I need without worrying about subscriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kdenlive?

The interface takes some time to get used to, especially if you're new to video editing. Some effects and settings are not very easy to find at first, and complex projects can require a few manual adjustments. It's a capable editor, but beginners should expect a short learning period. "Useful for Creating Clear and Structured Educational Videos"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kdenlive?

I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content. I use Kdenlive mainly for creating educational videos related to diet, nutrition, weight management, lifestyle guidance, and student learning sessions. What I like best about Kdenlive is that it helps me create structured educational videos without making the editing process unnecessarily complicated. In my work, I often need to prepare content where I explain diet plans, nutrition concepts, healthy eating habits, and weight management topics step by step. Kdenlive gives me enough control to organize these explanations clearly and present information in a way that is easier for students and viewers to follow.

I regularly work with longer educational recordings, nutrition presentations, teaching material, and health awareness content. The multi-track timeline is very useful because it helps me keep voice explanations, educational visuals, titles, and supporting content properly arranged throughout the project. This becomes especially helpful when preparing detailed learning sessions where information needs to be presented in a logical order. I also find the title tools, transitions, keyframe controls, and visual editing options useful for highlighting important nutrition points and keeping educational videos more engaging. These features help me explain concepts more clearly without making the videos look overly complex.

Performance has been good for most of my work. Even when editing longer health education sessions with multiple elements on the timeline, the software has generally remained reliable. Export quality is also good, which is important when sharing teaching content, health awareness videos, and educational material online. Another thing I appreciate is that Kdenlive is free to use while still providing many features needed for serious educational video editing. I use it frequently for health education content, teaching sessions, and awareness videos. Overall, it helps me create organized, professional-looking educational content and supports my daily work as a dietician, clinic manager, and health educator. What do you dislike about Kdenlive?

In the beginning, I found some advanced editing options harder to locate than expected. The software offers many controls, but understanding the best workflow for different editing tasks took some time. Also, For routine educational editing, I occasionally need to spend extra time adjusting effects, titles, or project settings to get exactly the result I want. The control is good, but it can require more manual adjustments than some simpler editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
