I love the fact that even though the app is free, there are so many features you are able to use. Other PDF apps will charge you for those features. PDF Reader allows you to select and annotate words you may have not been able to even select the text from on other formats such as viewing it on Safari. It is easy to search through specifically what you're looking for and bookmark as well. I also can see the table of contents very easily when required on the side. Sometimes I feel the ads cause the server to overload and I have to restart my edits. If they are really necessary, at the very leasy they should not block my pages. I also think they should not charge a subscription to convert PDFs when there are already free PDF converter softwares available. Lastly, I think the platform can update it's style and technology to more modern software. They could elevate to dual device usage, pair with other applications like Google Document or Microsoft Word, or make it a website to be accessible on your browser itself that way you do not have have to move to other platforms to use it. What I like is having the ability to view my PDF files for free. It is easy to use and the features are what I have been looking for when trying to find a software for this purpose. I found this software because I was looking for a program to merge documents due to the nature of my business. During my search I came upon PDF reader and it was easy to use and did what I needed it to do. I use this often due to the nature of both of my businesses especially my notary business. Being able to merge documents is important. I don't use it a lot for editing but I have used this feature and the convert feature and it was easy to use even without seeking help. For me one of the downsides is the cost to use. Although I don't use all of the features, there are features that I use every now and then. While the free version has basically 2 functions - edit and signature - each feature is robust enough to make you forget the app is free. The free version will be enough to get you started and help out when in a pinch. The monthly subscription to unlock all of the features is much lower than nearest competition. It was easy to add and didnt require admin rights to install. I had no issue with integrating by making it the default reader. I use the app everyday and have yet to encounter any glitch or crash. In the free version the max number of tabs allowed is only 2 which can be quite limiting when toggling through different sources. It would be helpful if the premium options were grayed out. I recently purchased PDF Reader for my iPad to allow me to open, edit, and save pdfs for work and personal documents easier. I have had no formatting issues and it has been a breeze to convert a webpage to a pdf and edit it in the app. I have made and edited multiple resumes and cover letters while commuting, email them to a colleague to review who uses Adobe, and the formatting has been excellent and we didn't have to waste precious time reformatting the document before submitting it. I use this app daily to open pdfs emailed to me and it has been extremely reliable. The editing options are easy to understand. A feature I enjoy a lot is the convert option that allows you to convert most documents to a pdf. You can import and convert easily and if you need assistance it's easy to get that as well by simply touching the information tab on the bottom of the Home Screen and look at the "what's new?" or "FAQ" there's even a contact us option that allows you to reach out for support quickly. I discovered that I can even scan documents using my iPad in the app as a pdf and fill in the document in the app and email it without any hiccups. I cannot get over how easy this app has made my life as an on the go professional. I have already told my friends who also use their iPads or tablets more at home than their laptops about this application since it's affordable, efficient, easy to use, and works well with other applications. I don't love the different hidden features to pay for to use but, if I pay $55 per year I get to use all the features which is cheaper than other apps that I have used in the past. Well its not just a PDF reader but also an editor, a format coverter, a file compressor and a document sign tool. I love the editing capability right in the application and use the compression and OCR tool all the time. Oh yes the translate tool has been very helpful translating those hotel bookings that come in another language. Works perfect on my iPad and use for Apple pencil is flawless.
