## Kaggle Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful GPU Accelerators and Generous Quotas That Save Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivansh M. | Consultant Quantum Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Kaggle?**

The hardware accelerators it offers, along with the generous weekly quotas, are a real lifesaver. I often work with the P100 GPU it offers and it has saved so much of my time.
Separating and merging code cells is quite easy with the intuitive keyboard shortcuts. The dual GPU (T4 *2) setup is especially useful for parallel learning.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

It’s not easy to set up or freeze an environment with specific dependencies. Instead, I have to install the required packages again in every session (or create the dependencies installation file and run it). Also, when I run a cell using the keyboard shortcut (SHIFT + ENTER), it doesn’t visually move me to the next cell, so I end up having to scroll to find it.
Furthermore, it would be nice to be able to see the time it took for each cell to run (similar to google colab).

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kaggle has become my go-to IDE. Whether it’s a simple test script or a full hybrid Quantum-ML pipeline, I can run it with accelerators that feel better suited to the job on Kaggle (even on the free tier). It took me just under 30 minutes to deploy and run a hybrid QML pipeline using the P100 GPU offered by Kaggle, compared with 3+ hours on just a Colab CPU or 1.5+ hours on a single Colab T4 GPU.

The learning modules also do a good job of teaching the basics of ML and data science, and they provide a plethora of datasets and models to experiment with.

  ### 2. Best to practice Machine learning - Kaggle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kapil K. | Graduate Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Kaggle?**

For me Kaggle is by far the best platform for machine learning. As it uses notbooks to run the code, execution of code becomes much easier as we can do cell execution. Also downloading any libraries is quite handy on Kaggle. Getting the data from different sources is also easy.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

Only thing I think where kaggle is lagging is the starting of a cluster as sometimes it take a bit longer to start. So kaggle team can work on making it more efficient.

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the time I practice my machine learning algorithms on Kaggle as it is easy and it has all the computation power needed to run the code. Also there are some courses provided by Kaggle that have helped me in Data Science journey.

It serves as a coding platform, has unlimited datasets that are highly diverse and almost cover all topics existing, it hosts multiple competitions that not only helps to solve pressing problems through AI through various user contributions but also provides hands on experience to AI and ML engineers worldwide with different experience levels. It also has a huge community of professionals, engineers and enthusiasts that always seem to have the answers to my questions with great support levels.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

Not much honestly but sometimes for competitions some rules are very clear or not mentioned at all for example in my last competition with Kaggle there was no mention of when to submit the code itself and I was surprised that It needed to be submitted before a certain deadline that wasn't mentioned.

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kaggle is contributing in solving the world's most stressing problems through AI not only that but also helps incorporate AI in almost all industries with providing hands on experience to millions of users and promoting community support and collaboration. When I started with AI I would only go to Kaggle for datasets and to ask for support. I also love the ranks it gives users and the small accomplishments that push you to go further. I gained huge experience through the enrollment in the competitions it offers and I still do.

  ### 7. Kaggle Really helps new Data Scientist for a great Kick Start

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish A. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Kaggle?**

I am a Data Enthusiast and was really struggling to have a start and I found Kaggle. The best part of Kaggle is that it provides a range of Datasets, Online Editor, and computing resources and they are free and enough for new users.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

Kaggle is best and doesn't have such a thing to dislike but still talking about it. It provides GPU access for only 37hrs per week. But many of us are ok with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Kaggle:**

I will recommend Kaggle for Data Enthusiast who are really looking for a carrier in Data.

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 8. Kaggle - Access to every tool you need for Machine Learning and Data Science

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush S. | Software Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Kaggle?**

The best thing about Kaggle is that before diving directly into the competitions and other stuffs, one could first learn from the Courses and Certifications provided by Kaggle. It gives extensive education to the learner about how the things actually work. Other than this, it gives remote access to hardware and softwares that one could only dream of. The community, is far better and accurate than that of Stack Overflow as only relevant questions are addressed.
It is a complete package from Beginner to Advance track in Machine Learning and Data Science.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

Since Kaggle is cloud based, it works on servers and hence, it is slow when starting. But it draws the attention from a little bit of slow speed to it features in no time. If only something could be done about faster intitialization of notebooks in browsers (though it is still the best product one could think of) it can become better.

**Recommendations to others considering Kaggle:**

The only advice is to engage with the community in kaggle rather than looking outside to stack overflow or googling around. People who use kaggle, know kaggle better than any one else out there.

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The GPU acceleration, vast amount of Data Sets, access to almost all possible python library and machine learning module and an extremely user friendly UI and UX are the things that caught my eye and are not allowing me to find an alternative at all. The most powerful benefits are the courses & certifications, competitions and community.

There are a lot of datasets available in the Kaggle, so that we can do the expertise in all the areas.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

There are a lot of code submitted by different type of users, so even a user is beginner and he/she submitted his/her code that is not good for a beginner to learn from them but still newbies trust on them which somehow waste the time of a newbie.

So They should make a seperate section which identify that this code is submitted by a beginner or a professional.

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm learning data science to solve various data related problems in medical science, so it will be good to learn from there as they have a lot of datasets to practice on.

  ### 14. Challenging yet rewarding ( once you have the background)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Kaggle?**

I was delighted with Kaggle's extensive tutorial base and its set of short courses for the DS novice.
Their team does seem very friendly and open to newcomers. They do try to explain everything in great detail, and they do provide an interesting and competitive playground for the DS learner.

**What do you dislike about Kaggle?**

I think Kaggle is a good (no, I won't choose the 'Excellent' word :) ) place to hone up your skills once you've upped up your Math skills.
As I've progressed throughout the minicourses, I realized that without a more solid preparation in Math and Python + DS, I don't get a good grasp of the material.
I'm following a different learning path with Math being the main point and will return to Kaggle once I actually feel that I know what I'm doing.

**Recommendations to others considering Kaggle:**

For sure, give it a try and go through some of their courses. Be aware, however, that Kaggle is a good start to get your feet wet, but you actually need much more background than they provide to know what you are actually doing ( at least this was the case for me ). I think this platform is more helpful to people who have more in-depth knowledge about the subject and are not complete novices as I was three months ago.
(BTW G2 autocorrect bot is ok-ish but it is a bit annoying when it tries to make me use 'excellent' instead of 'good' and other things that tend to clip my sentences shorter and less expressive, just fyi)

**What problems is Kaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kaggle helped me get a first-hand experience on what DS looks like and what kind of problems a future DS professional like me will have to solve.
