As our needs grew, our back-end software grew, and our company grew. Juniper grew with us and -- quite literally -- kept us going as we started our journey. **What do you dislike about Juniper Networks Security?** We had some small downtime re: our router services, but it was during out-of-season windows for us (per our requests) and normally during non-business hours. While not truly a complaint as this was to be expected, they circumvented our down time by doing this during times in which we didn't expect to see any traffic. **What problems is Juniper Networks Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a public company with many public faces, Juniper kept us safe on the backend, safe from virtually any kind of potential attack on all of our platforms -- quite literally getting us going and keeping us going in the early stages. ### 2. You cannot go wrong in juniper with commit option. Moreover you can roll back if something does not fit. The data/ security flow is clear enough to make changes to best suited to your environment. **What do you dislike about Juniper Networks Security?** Perhaps the granularity of security is missing . Various settings are available but not availed in a single panel. Things can be made better by improving the gui response as currently all firewalls give gui. **What problems is Juniper Networks Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have protected my network using utm features and ips/ ids. App secure features like app track are continuously being employed for behaviour monitoring. The business performance has soared to new levels. ### 3. Without comprising its performance, Juniper SRX 1500 blocks all DDOS traffics that is targetting the victim IP addresses. **What do you dislike about Juniper Networks Security?** There is no capability to detect malicious/DDOS traffic in Juniper SRX. We need to observe it manually to check whether the traffic is legitimate or not. If Juniper SRX can see it early, we can respond to the threat earlier. **What problems is Juniper Networks Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since Juniper SRX 1500 helps me suppress the DDOS traffic, we do not experience any service outage. ### 4. It also has tried hands in Security Portfolio. However, it would continue to be called leading in Networking equipments. They have nice portfolio in routing. Juniper has really good OS & CLI which really makes the user or operator's task easy. People in Network operator community like Juniper CLI. The GUI is not that intuitive though manageable. **What do you dislike about Juniper Networks Security?** Juniper is a leading OEM in Networking equipments and large scale routers, datacenter switching platforms & Access and aggregation routers. They are not even close to leading OEMs in security like Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, etc. Security is not a focus for the company. It is recommended to evaluate alternate solutions with leaders in this solution space. Infact, there have been no clear communication on company's roadmap about their security business focus. **Recommendations to others considering Juniper Networks Security:** Security is just managing to meet the requirement, however they are far behind the Top 10-15 security solutions provider. There have never been a clear roadmap and business vision to develop themselves as a Security leader. It is recommended to evaluate alternate solutions with leaders in this solution space. **What problems is Juniper Networks Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Security is just managing to meet the requirement, however they are far behind the Top 10-15 security solutions provider.
