Easy to used, friendly interface, Gui is easy to use. application block and their blocking of malware. Overall I feel that the security is well in place. implementation was simless and fast. Their customer support is exelent never have any complain. The use of the firewall is everyday . I have 4 features that currently used. The integration with single signon , LDAP, Azure is excellent. I especially like that they are reliable and that once configured, they work without issues. They have everything needed for security in a single product and do not require continuous interventions. The management is also quite simple and, in general, they give a good sense of control over the network. Sometimes I try to download programs for cache cleaning but it blocks me, very functional because it could compromise the system registry files. I find it very functional. Sometimes the filter is a bit too restrictive and it happens that legitimate software or sites, such as CCleaner, are also blocked, even when they do not seem to pose a real risk. This can create some inconvenience and requires manual intervention on the rules. I understand that it was configured by my company, but I believe it should not prevent administrators from allowing the installation of programs like these, which do not compromise an operating system. Fortigate firewall supports a lot of features, such as DNS / Web filtering, content restriction, bandwidth restriction, etc. You can create Administrator /Normal users with MFA (FortiTokens are required). Built-in VPN support is there, so that anyone can connect to the office network using public static ip addresses. With the use of Dashboard you can monitor various things such as bandwidth utilisation, network connectivity, SLA, Latency etc. If there are any issues with any configuration /documentation you can reach out to Fortigate support and they usually respond in 1-2 business days. We were undergoing ISO 27001 standards certification, so for that some of the web and dns filtering etc. things were mandatory, so the implementation of the fortigate firewall solved this issue.
