Jelly Reviews & Product Details

Jelly is a food costing and kitchen cost control software platform for hospitality operators. It is designed to help restaurants, pubs, cafés and small multi-site groups understand food spend, maintain accurate recipe costs, and monitor gross profit by combining invoice data, ingredient pricing, and recipe information in one system. Jelly is used by owner-operators, head chefs, ops managers and finance/admin teams who need a practical way to keep costs up to date without relying on manual spreadsheets. Typical use cases include tracking supplier price changes, understanding the cost and margin of menu items, keeping recipe costs current as ingredients fluctuate, and improving visibility into weekly/monthly gross profit performance. It is most relevant for teams that want faster time-to-value and a lighter setup than larger inventory/procurement suites. Core capabilities include: Invoice capture and automation: record supplier invoices to keep ingredient pricing current and reduce manual data entry. Recipe costing and margin tracking: cost recipes and menu items using up-to-date ingredient prices to support pricing and portion decisions. Supplier price alerts and spend visibility: highlight changes in supplier pricing and provide a clearer view of spend trends over time. Additional functionality includes day-to-day stock counting and supplier ordering to support kitchen workflows, plus integrations with common hospitality systems to fit into an existing POS/accounting stack. Overall, Jelly helps operators move from retrospective, spreadsheet-based costing to a more continuous view of food costs and profitability, so they can identify margin drift earlier and take action with more confidence.
