Fewer features to handle complex Engg Changes. Many businesses are seen using third-party software as an interface to make up for this shortcoming. Ability for the enhancements and customizations in the software assists us in customizing it to fit our needs. Our manufacturing processes (being in strictly regulated market) are not standard. And thus, no off the shelf software is able to help us. While we use Oracle JDE E1 for our Accounting, the manufacturing module was an easy choice. Everything from invoicing, customer information, raw material, BOM, EDI processes to connect with our distributors, AP, AR, inventory forecast and planning, shelf locations, production line management are all included as part of the whole suite we have gotten. This is a core competency of E1 and it does do a great job at it. The user-friendly screens, ability to customize, ability to audit and share modules/jobs/processes of production line across multiple users - thus having a collaborative processes are the Pros. Not good for reporting. Need a third party tool for analysis / report building. It's costly for on-prem and even more for SaaS. but you pay for the good functionalities. Pain to upgrade to new version - if you have a lot of customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
