## jam.py Reviews
  ### 1. can we consider using jam.py for web applications?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Baratam V. | Microsoft Power apps developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2024

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

Rapid development, highly intuitive interface, and low-code approach, making it ideal for quick database-driven app development and we just 3-5 developers to built Medium to Large application it will be good for client over investing for development

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

Limited scalability, lack of extensive documentation, and fewer advanced features for large, complex enterprise applications.

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies database-driven app development with its low-code framework, accelerating prototyping and reducing complexity. It provides built-in tools for database integration, eliminating the need for third-party solutions. This reduces the need for large teams, making development faster, more cost-effective, and efficient, especially for small to medium-scale projects.

  ### 2. Jam.py designed to simplify development and cater to a broad range of developers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chiranjeevi G. | Content Designer/Web Developer Intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2024

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

The visual development environment is intuitive, allowing developers to create forms, reports, and dashboards without extensive coding.
The framework's built-in support for multiple databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and Firebird makes it versatile for different backend needs.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

Jam.py is suitable for simple to moderate applications, its visual development approach can feel restrictive for more complex use cases. Advanced customization may require diving into Python code, which somewhat defeats the "low-code" approach.

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jam.py’s web-based nature means that once I’ve built an application, it can be accessed from any platform, which is useful for cross-device compatibility, When I need to prototype a database application quickly, Jam.py allows me to get a functional demo up and running without too much hassle.

The options for customization can be increased as well as can be made easier to integrate. .

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well it lets me create event driven application really really fast. Eases up the process of backend integrations and just lets me start building anything with basic few pages.

  ### 5. Good but need more improvement to support scalability and integration with BI applications

It has low code approach and really ease to use. Strong support SQL SERVER databases

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

It doesn't integrate well with power bi or tableau application and scalability is also the issue

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jam.py automates the common tasks like CRUD operation which saves time for development and it also reduce the complexity.
As it is a low code, it doesn't require any coding knowledge to build simple apps

  ### 6. Review of Jam.py framework

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham K. | R&D Senior Software Engineer eCOA, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2024

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

One of best thing I liked is low code environment,so with minimal code ,making it accessible for both beginners and experienced developers.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

I liked it's low code environment but for advanced use case available documents are not good and lack in depth. Also it heavily relies on built in feature so it becomes limitation for developers

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Best thing is that it manage databases heavy application whether it is complex or not. ,also it automates lots of repetitive task involved in database management. Also in fraction of time it build functional web application

  ### 7. Jam.py -must needed for python developers

  ### 8. Easy to use framework for building Dashboards in Python

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashay S. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

It is quite easy to setup the pip package and the time taken to build any GUI based dashboard is very less. So I could build a web app and integrate database easily in an hour when I need a good ui to show my API

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

So far for dashboarding , I am still to find a Framework in Python that works as good as this one. So I have not faced any issues in my work to build GUIs for my tasks .

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a data scientist and we often have to build multiple APIs to test submodules in a bigger project. It is quite easy to integrate those Rest API with Jam.py to create dashboards and so it is easier for others to test the code.

  ### 9. Great programming language

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

The practicality and ease of implementation. The increased use in the market, a lot of study and explanatory content, a growing community that is increasingly valued.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

The block structure, easy to get lost in and to create a mess, is not a good clean code pattern.

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it in the company where I work, solving everyday solutions and data science, a great resource for data manipulation.

  ### 10. Awesome python extension to build live web app in no time at all. very much a magic library

Easy DB integration and visualization with web app layering is the cherry on the top.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

extra efforts one needs to put up a UI layer which could well have been a part of this excellent framework

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to visualize the application flags in my iOS app and then showcase the trends on the web application dashboard using python

  ### 11. The easiest Python platform ever built, similar to Django Admin but on steroids

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ljudevit P. | Dean D. Babic, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

Python Jam.py Framework is a platform for building the business applications - almost like we would do with MS Access many years ago.
There is no models/controllers/views (MVC) approach in Jam.py. The framework is concentrating on the problem at hand, just like with Access. It is THAT simple, imo. Forget the complexity of bloated or micro frameworks! You will be productive in minutes, guaranteed. If you could use Access or DBASE years ago, this is the tool for you.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

What I dislike is that more developers are not hoping on the Jam.py train:
"I mean, modern dev role it’s already full with a different hype. Before yesterday they all did Angular + Rest Framework, yesterday React is coming and today GraphQL on Django GRaphite with React + Redux." — Denis Viklov, Django Dev
Unfortunately, due to a hype, a lot of developers are doing what employers are asking for. Hence,
since Jam.py is not used for general web sites, blogs or portfolios, it is overlooked by the developers.

**Recommendations to others considering jam.py:**

Recommendation would be to help with spreading the word so more people start using it and more developers help the Project.

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is true rapid application development platform. I was able to develop the User interface peeking into the huge PostgreSQL database in a couple of hours, with authentication enabled, auditing, etc. No other Python framework can do that in such a short time, and I tried them all.
Jam.py is a specialized piece of software, made for business when one has no time to learn huge frameworks, and needs the results fast.

  ### 12. Extraordinary accomplishments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about jam.py?**

It is extraordinary and wonderful what Jam.py team seem to have accomplished.

To provide some context - I spent 2 hours on some other software this morning and could not even get their demo working.

I was able to set up Jam.py in 5 minutes from the pip install - Jam.py doco is great as well.

**What do you dislike about jam.py?**

Fairly new Python project, only started to develop the user base.

**Recommendations to others considering jam.py:**

None at the moment.

**What problems is jam.py solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Only scratched the surface of what Jam.py can do for us. The framework is really well structured! Pleasure to work on.
