It keeps expectations in check with automatic "check ins" of content to ensure consistency with our client-approved version. It provides clear "next steps" for the creator to execute, rather than going back and forth via email. These small features are able to create a big difference in saving time in the little details. **What do you dislike about IZEA Flex?** I dislike the inability to post live links on the marketer's end to collect analytics. The "manual verification" does not pull through numbers and you are not able to undue that verification. It makes tracking down the creator tough to get those numbers from them off the site. **Recommendations to others considering IZEA Flex:** I would recommend that you strategize what you want your influencer campaigns to look like and how they function BEFORE deciding on what tool is best for them. IZEA is great for those keeping track of 1-3 clients (agency side) and smaller influencer campaigns. There are certain steps that you have to take extra time to work around, but once you get the hang of the site and its good and bad parts, it is a very helpful tool. **What problems is IZEA Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** IZEA Unity Suite is streamlining our influencer programming by keeping the messaging consistent. I can post to all creators and know they all received the same campaign information and have mandatory elements that the site will ensure they execute. This takes the pressure off going back and forth via individual emails and losing track of who knows what across a campaign of 10-15 influencers. ### 2. We moved to IZEA from Mavrck and are very happy with the decision. **What do you dislike about IZEA Flex?** The Unity Search functionality can be problematic at times, as can other areas of the platform (e.g., chats continuing to be marked as "unread" when they are not). Also, the system times out and logs the user out -- but it's not obvious when this happens and work can be lost. The support when there is an issue is also outstanding. We love the ability to find influencers and communicate with them directly all in one place. We also appreciate the ability to see what types of influencer postings are happening using the Viz search tool. **What do you dislike about IZEA Flex?** The main stumbling block for us so far has been in connecting with Influencers. The process is not straightforward. In just a small segment, we reached out to about 25 Influencers, most of whom never responded back to us. Others responded back, but the communication back and forth was cumbersome, sometimes going days without a response back. One influencer even shared with us that they use the mobile version, and options were missing for them to submit their assets back to us via the mobile app. **What problems is IZEA Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest issue we are solving is the ability to get our message out to target groups of people that would be very difficult, if not impossible, to connect within a timely and cost-efficient manner. In the short time, we have been using the platform, we have been able to connect and monetize several influencer channels. ### 5. Some of the features and functionality are not the most intuitive, such as making changes to deliverable due dates or publication dates. I have nothing but good things to say about our account manager. They are very receptive to feedback, it can just take a long time to see it implemented. **What do you dislike about IZEA Flex?** IZEA lacks basic features that are essential to running campaigns. Their open bidding feature is very rough and, in my opinion, should not have been rolled out yet as it's near impossible to efficiently sort through bids and take action from those bids. And, the influencers that do bid are extremely lacking in quality across the board compared to other platforms I've used. They have complicated an already complicated process of running influencer campaigns. It is IZEA's job to help solve problems, but it's honestly just complicated the whole process for us. Using their platform always results in frustrations and I have run campaigns off of the platform instead of through it because of these frustrations. The platform was originally built for in-house campaign management, and it does not seem SaaS ready to me. We signed a year-long contract with them since they set the expectations that feature rollouts would be happening and things would improve. And, feature rollouts are happening, but in my opinion, they need to focus on the very basics like open bidding, being able to export lists everywhere, and simplifying the campaign process. It wasn't until just recently that they rolled out the "invite to bid" feature and post-offer flexibility which are very basic offerings. So many of the basics that I ask for are "on the roadmap," but I see other features being rolled out that aren't as essential in my opinion. Having something on "the roadmap" is great, but it doesn't help me right now. Because of these missed expectations and frustrations with the platform, I have asked to break the contract but they have been extremely resistant to that, even if it means burning a bridge with my company. Tapinfluence helped us stay organized while running large-scale campaigns. Unfortunately, they decided to focus on IZEA rather than Tapinfluence and that platform will be discontinued soon. ### 18. It's our one-stop for influencer search/identification, vetting, onboarding, campaign management, reporting and payments. Specifically, it's been cutting down on our time spent doing things like individual contracts, invoices and manually reviewing/vetting influencer feeds. **What do you dislike about IZEA Flex?** As with all evolving tech, there are issues sometimes with functionality of the platform, specifically when engaging with influencers during the content creation/review process. Meaning that you had to set up entirely separate campaigns for each post type and network you wanted. Facebook image post, Facebook text post, Facebook video - all separate campaigns to set up, manage, and coordinate. Instagram photo, Instagram video - also separate. Same for YouTube, Twitter, blogs. Just an inefficient process if you want to run a campaign across multiple platforms. They're apparently fixing this, but be sure before you buy into it. We don't recall that being mentioned in the sales process, and learned during kickoff. Since they're an opt-in network, most influencers' feeds felt a bit spammy. Most of their content was sponsored, which doesn't give an authentic feel to the content. **Recommendations to others considering IZEA Flex:** If you're just looking to run influencer campaigns on one channel, the tool can work for you.
