What stands out most about Island is how seamlessly it combines enterprise-grade security controls with a familiar, Chromium-based browsing experience.
The most helpful aspect of Island is the built-in security and management capabilities that eliminate the need for complex endpoint configurations.
Upsides of Using Island: User Experience / Visibility & Insights / Scalability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, it’s difficult to find something to truly dislike about Island. Every time I’ve encountered an issue or had a feature request, the Island team has gone above and beyond to help — often working tirelessly to find a workaround or develop a long-term solution. On the rare occasion they don’t have an immediate fix, they follow up within days with one.
If I had to identify areas for improvement, I’d suggest expanding the search functionality in the management console and adding more detailed information to the user activity map, such as the ability to filter or refresh it by specific time frames. Additionally, when troubleshooting policy violations, it would be helpful if the system provided more detailed explanations for why an action was blocked, rather than just stating that it violated a policy.
