As a Web-based system, iSalus EHR is easily accessed through the cloud, giving physicians the ability to keep track of scheduling, patient details and financial data anytime and anywhere. iSalus' EHR is completely customizable and is specifically designed to adapt to each specialty and individual practice workflow. iSALUS EHR is physician-created and developed with over 15 years of experience within the EHR/EMR industry. Our EHR, OfficeEMR, offers thousands of templates in almost every specialization because we’ve been building them from our inception. If one of our templates doesn’t meet the specific needs of a new user, we offer further customization to make sure you can practice medicine the way you want. I do like that you are able to do demographics, check eligibility, and bill out of it. I really like that you can create a receipt for payment that is attached to the chart and can print out. Also, that you can generate work/school absence letters and can easily save to the chart. **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** Isnt always extremely user friendly. I think that it could be more high tech. The biggest thing for my clinic is the fact that Quest Quanum cannot be integrated with the system to automatically upload our urine drug screen results so we have to manually load them. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Check patient's insurance eligibility, patient charting, posting payments, billing, generating notes for patients for work or school absences, inter offer communication regarding patients that is attached to the patient chart, patient alerts ### 2. Create Medical prescriptions in a simple way with Isalus EHR **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Karla M. | Doctor Of Medicine, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019 **What do you like best about iSALUS EHR?** The most attractive thing about isalus EHR is its medical pre-registration function, although a bit simplified has quite powerful functionalities, the providers of the medications will be able to see contradictions separated by colors, the providers will have at hand pharmaceutical from this makes isalus a quite demanding program in the medical are, Another feature that I like is that the electronic prescription function is linked to the google maps App which makes it a significant tool. **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** The letters in the reports are somewhat small this makes it difficult to understand what is written, I have to use it on the Mac because it does not integrate correctly with google chrome this makes it quite limited since some colleagues use other operating systems, accounting does not usually update you have to wait a while to do it, another problem is that the program was designed by accountants not by doctors and makes it a bit difficult to handle. **Recommendations to others considering iSALUS EHR:** Although it is advertised as a free program, it really is not, but i recommend this program because it will make your job in the hospital easier, it is software designed for us professionals in the area medicine since they do not take much into account in what we call technological advance. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been using it to take my medical history and documentation is quite useful for this, it is quite useful to place all my daily tasks helps me maintain an orderly life in the work area, this is a program really designed to keep track of your medical history. ### 5. Gets the job done. **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** Not an intuitive program, way too many screens to complete in order to build the chart. The program crashes all the time. Not easy to make modifications to the chart. Runs painfully slow on IE and a little better on Chrome but is not optimized for Chrome. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use this for electronic documentation of my health records. It's wonderful that it's all electronic. ### 6. We're were trying to go "cheap" and the first one we used was a total disaster (like, something from the early 80's), and the second one we tried was not bad, but we came up against barriers several times that they didn't think were very important (thus refused to fix), and their customer service was horrific. WELL, then we tried iSALUS - and WOW, WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! The program is very professional (definitely "21st century/current technology" driven), way more than we expected. It is easy to use and easy to learn - so the transition was very smooth. I love the scheduler, and of course everything else interconnects, so my records, billing, history, etc. is right there at my fingertips. I personally don't deal much with the billing end, but the person that works for me has picked it up pretty quick. Our psychologist (who is definitely NOT tech savvy) has found doing his progress notes, treatment plans, etc. on iSalus's EMR a breeze! iSalus has set up the customer service in a unique way as well - so in the beginning, you have your own personal customer advocate to help you through the transition process, and a specific number of hours are dedicated to tailoring your iSalus experience specific to your practice needs. Awesome! Once the transition is complete, you move to a regular customer service department that seems to be very knowledgable and very responsive. Now, the MOST EXCITING part (for me) is that I can now use the program on my Mac! Very important, as I don't like carrying around 2 computers when I work at home or on the road. Conclusion - Great program, fair price (way less than one that I looked at that was comparable), wonderful customer service, and a company dedicated to being the best. Love it! **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** Not much. At first they weren't Mac-friendly, and that was a pain (carried 2 computers around when I was off-site), but as of April, they are Mac-friendly. It's all good! **Recommendations to others considering iSALUS EHR:** It is beyond what you will expect - I wish we would have found them first. It is worth the money and we have actually saved (monthly) more than we spend on it. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had to go EMR per Medicaid mandate. Also, we were having a hard time staying organized with trying to fit "the old way" (paper charts, ledger billing, making our own verification calls, etc.) in the "new" tech-savvy world, and it wasn't working very well. Lot's of costs that were unnecessary. We are actually saving money already (lots), and everything is becoming streamlined, better communication, easy to find information, and when we get audited this fall we should pass with flying colors! ### 7. I do like that the fax and orders are automatically put into the system. This allows you to see every thing right one the one system and you do not need to open multiple screens to get the information that you need **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** I have used multiple different systems, this one seems to have the most issues as far as freezing and kicking you off of the system at times. I also do not like that your tasks do not automatically refresh. Whenever you write a communication to someone you do not see it right away you have to refresh the tasks to have it show that you have a communication, new orders or faxes. **Recommendations to others considering iSALUS EHR:** The only recommendation that I would have for this product would be to make sure you are refreshing your tasks, at times it is easy to forget to do this and you may not notice results or communications from other coworkers. Also you need to check to see which chart is open before you schedule an appointment because sometimes it may be on the wrong patient. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are multiple things that I am always trying to figure out on isalus. Mostly need to remember to refresh your tasks all the time so you do not miss anything. ### 9. So much easier than looking up old paper charts for the information and results. **What do you dislike about iSALUS EHR?** I do not like the times where there are connectivity issues that cause the system to go down or lags and slowness. Doesn't work in the health system where you are constantly moving from one patient to the next. **What problems is iSALUS EHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the issues of having paper charts and clients coming in to utilize more than one health service at our location. Instead of having duplicated records we have a continuation of the first record and new visits and details attached.
