InvoiceXML is a REST API that lets developers and finance teams generate, validate, convert, render and extract compliant electronic invoices without building or maintaining e-invoicing logic themselves. It is compliance infrastructure that sits inside your existing architecture: send invoice data, receive a compliant document back. All major European e-invoice formats in one API. InvoiceXML supports ZUGFeRD, XRechnung, Factur-X, UBL, CII and Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, so a single integration covers the German e-invoicing mandate, the French e-invoicing reform, and Peppol-based invoicing across Europe. Convert between formats, for example CII to UBL or UBL to Factur-X, without writing mapping code. Keep your invoice design. For hybrid formats such as ZUGFeRD and Factur-X, InvoiceXML embeds the structured XML into your existing PDF and produces a compliant PDF/A-3 document. The invoice your customers see looks exactly as it does today. Every invoice validated before it leaves. Each document is checked against the official Schematron artefacts and the EN 16931 standard before delivery, so an invalid invoice never reaches you or your customers. Validation errors come back with the specific rule, business term and field affected, not a vague pass or fail. Standalone validation and PDF validation reports are also available. Compliance as a service. E-invoicing rule sets change several times a year on binding deadlines. InvoiceXML updates them at the effective date, with no code change or deployment on your side. The build is finite; the maintenance never is, and InvoiceXML takes it off your roadmap. Zero data retention by design. Invoices are processed in memory, never written to disk, never logged and never backed up. Processing takes place exclusively on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, so data never leaves the EU. GDPR compliant, with a Data Processing Agreement available. Built for automation. AI-powered data extraction from plain PDF invoices returns a confidence score per field, so your pipeline can auto-accept clean documents and flag the rest. Who it is for.
