The online support is exceptional. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** I use the Basic Version of Pro Series. I understand that costs do not stay the same. But what really bothers me is that Intuit still only offers four free state downloads each year. Why not more? Why not six or eight? On top of that, if I have two or more clients from a state that is not one of my "free state downloads", I have to pay for each state return to be prepared. Why can't you charge me once, and then allow me to prepare additional returns for that state for no extra charge? I don't understand. I have about 130 tax clients in eight different states. There is no good reason for the way Intuit charges for these additional returns other than greed. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data entry is quick and easy. Questions can be asked and answered without exiting the program. Also, the "Where do I enter..." help aid is most helpful especially if you are a new user of the program. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** I'm old school, so it bothered me that I could not enter information directly on the tax form. However, after a while I found out that the worksheets are really helpful and that they save me a lot of time. Also, when I prefer I found out that I can go directly to most forms. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication with my clients is made simpler through ProSeries. The clients' information is listed on an excel-type screen, which can be customized for my specific purposes. I don't have to go out to another program to get the contact information. ### 3. The tech support specialists are knowledgeable and patient, always dedicated to resolving my questions and receptive to suggestions. The system is very user-friendly. Despite the rising costs, I continually return to Intuit ProSeries Tax because it's a very good system, easy to understand, and very clear. The initial setup is very easy, with everything downloading within a few minutes. It makes my work more efficient and fast, as I can rely on its standalone system. I'm always likely to recommend it to others, rating it a 10 on recommendation scale. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** The only problem I see is the wait time sometimes in understanding who I have to speak to. I have 265 clients, and it’s very easy to understand and use. I understand that there’s a lot of support and technical work happening behind the scenes, and that keeping up with changing tax laws each year is a challenge. Fast calculations, good customer support. The transition for clients from year to year is quick and easy, making it less of a hassle. I do like that there's a helpful 'how to' button, and the community is there to help if I have any questions. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** Oh, yes. Definitely. I had a problem with the New York State return where something didn't flow. My client received a letter due to an issue, where the program didn't transfer the information from the federal to the state return properly. I also think the cost shouldn't go up each year, especially for the clients who renew yearly and have been with the company for many years. WE use this on a daily basis most of the year but 24/7 during tax season. They offer number of features that are useful and saves time. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** There really is not anything that I dislike about Intuit. The closest thing would probably be that they take the program down about 9 PM Pacific time every evening and I have to sign back in to continue working. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** N/A ### 47. There is not much more to like. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** We rarely, if ever, get through to a support person. When we do reach a support person, it is always a first-level support person who does not understand the tax question or the technical questions we pose. They are "not allowed" to transfer phone calls to someone who might understand the question according to one support person we spoke with recently, and the supervisors who assist in the background also seem to have little tax knowledge or hands on experience with the software. The list of defects is endless. The CT EITC form does not work correctly, the software does not pass on to a Connecticut part-year return a 1099R distribution, and it does not pass on to a Connecticut resident return a 1099R with a distribution code PJ in box 7, and the list goes on and on. Maybe one star rating on a good day for the software and none for their support. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** We prepare tax returns with the ProSeries. The benefits have been minor. ### 49. Also like the integration with Docusign to sign electronically instead of having to send out paper e-files and wait for everyone to sign before we can file. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** Sometimes freezes, annoying having to constantly change the password. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a tax office, ProSeries is obviously instrumental to the business. Helps get tax returns done in a way that gives everyone peace of mind. ### 50.
