  ### 1. Helpful CRM tool for the legal industry

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

InterAction is a helpful relationship management tool to stay organized and on top of who knows whom in the legal industry. It is fairly straightforward and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

I do not have any strong negative feelings or dislikes of the software. I used it sparingly in my business development role and it served its purpose. I used it as a reference several times per year as needed for various projects.

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InterAction allowed our law firm to keep up with the various relationships amongst lawyers and other business professionals involved with our law firm. For example, it allowed me to look up a particular lawyer in the system and see who their professional contacts were.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

The support team, both our account manager and technical support are always really nice, resourceful and helpful

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

New products are expensive and certain features and parts of the system sometimes do not work well/are frustrating or our of date

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drive and coordinate BD efforts. Encourage collaboration and cross-selling while increasing transparency. Identify new growth opportunities.

With the help of the support team we have recently produced an incredibly useful series of BD dashboards. These, if used correctly, will definitely drive productivity.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

Once familiar with the product InterAction is fairly easy to use, especially for opportunity management (which is the bulk of what I use the product for).  It is effective for pipeline and sales management and overall CRM.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

Like any CRM system, InterAction is only as good as the information that has been entered and updated by the opportunity managers.  I have found it a bit less user friendly for contact and activity management, however, I do not regularly use that feature so I need to relearn ever time I use it.  Additionally in order to get the most out of the information, you really need to know how to use the reporting tools well.

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CRM - sales and pipeline tracking - insights into forecasts. When used correctly, InterAction provides great insights into our pipeline and future sales.

the windows  client is very old looking and the UI is not that great

Streamlined interface for contact management

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

Not a lot of customization options available, everything costs extra, search function is limited especially for tracking updates. Also, support is not very helpful.

have a plan in mind of how you want to organize your data before getting in to IA

Business development support, leads tracking, contact organization and maintenance

That’s it’s highly Customizable. We track our entire network.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

If you’re not a big company you don’t always get support fast

Were able to check people in at events. Able to track our entire network in this database

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

My office has used Lexis for confidential searches and it's ease of use is what keeps us renewing

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

The website could be updated, it is semi basic and I think they could update it to suit the times.

It makes it easy to get ahold of people and verify identities.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

In terms of a database it's relatively easy to use.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

I guess the whole concept feels a little bit outdated with the advent of LinkedIn. Admittedly not all contacts use LinkedIn, or are slow to update their work history. However it does seem weird that there is software to manage law firm contacts when, in practice, LinkedIn has most of that information already.

Another minor pet peeve, and it might just be my firm's implementation of the software, but I don't understand why the online client seems to be Internet Explorer only. 

**Recommendations to others considering InterAction+:**

Given the existence of LinkedIn I would suggest someone look at whether InterAction is valuable before starting to use it.

Managing the database of the firm contacts.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

We have had InterAction since 1999.  It's comfortable to us.  It's "common sense" approach to contact management makes it easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

InterAction is very time-intensive to maintain.  We don't have a dedicated data steward so we monitor our database through the use of stringent data change management rules.  In spite of our diligence, we still struggle with data management.

**Recommendations to others considering InterAction+:**

LexisNexis InterAction is now putting in place really good business development measures.  I wish that they had come earlier but I feel that they are heading in the right place for others wishing to implement.

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use InterAction for event management and contact management.  Our word templates are integrated with InterAction so document processing is very manageable.

They have great customer support. Always readily available and willing to help. Also, the platform itself is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. 

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

While customer support is great, upkeep with the innovation of this tool could be better. The product hasn't change much in the years I've been using it.

It's a solid solution but their are more innovative products out there.

Client relationship management with robust reporting opportunities.

Easy to use and customize. Very intuitive interface with several features we use on a consistent basis

Sometimes hard to find specific things. Access rights clunky

It's great for storing a warehouse of knowledge.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

Not very user friendly as far as appearance and add on functionality.

It's a pretty limited program but it does the housing of data well.

Just storing questions in a warehouse for people to reach out and research.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

It is a fairly intuitive software. Our users who spend a good amount of time in the system are able to navigate quite easily. We also train new employees with the system, and they do see the ease in the system once they are shown.

Their Customer Support team is quick to respond to questions, even if the answer isn't what you always want.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

We are not able to use IMO or Mobile because it does not meet our security requirements. When we reached out to InterAction about upgrading their system so we could use those features, they said no. 

I wish we could also see more into our pipeline by allowing people to change the column labels for their opportunity dashboards. 

We would also like for our users to use the Reminders feature. Unfortunately, reminders that you set are only visible to you, and we would like them to be visible to everyone. 

**Recommendations to others considering InterAction+:**

they need to invest more money in their product to make it more user friendly. 

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

there is a lot of work that goes into 'solving problems' by using interaction. I wish that we had dashboarding capabilities so that our users could run their own reports more easily. If they could actually create their own column reports, it would save the admin a lot of time.

**What do you like best about InterAction+?**

The best feature of InterAction in my opinion, is the ability to customize each profile to a user's specifications. There is amazing customer service and support for the product with 

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

There tend to be a lot of technical glitches that pop up that cannot be explained at times, even by customer service. End users (secretaries) have complained that it does not work well with their processes.  

**What problems is InterAction+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great tool for segmenting the database to send communications to specific lists. It works even better if you have an add-on service from a third party that can track bounces, opt-outs, etc.

Exporting contacts; sending marketing (newsletters, new flyers) to client lists; syncing contacts between users

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

How it is used by end user - end user not understanding the software and not using it; end user not using standardized guidelines for entering data

Great system; have users go through some training; absolutely send administrators for training at LexisNexis

Use program to send monthly newsletters to user clients

Very powerful tool that provides great insights and performance metrics related to email campaigns.

**What do you dislike about InterAction+?**

The rigidity and complexity of the various levels of permissions. Helpful to be highly personalized to each user/admin, but a pain to establish initially.

Tracking RSVPs, event attendance and efficay of email addresses.
