InMotion Hosting Reviews & Product Details

InMotion Hosting is a type of web hosting solution designed to provide businesses and developers with reliable, high-performance hosting services. Unlike many hosting companies that rely on third-party infrastructure or automated support systems, InMotion Hosting owns and operates its entire infrastructure, ensuring a level of accountability and performance that is often lacking in the industry. This end-to-end control allows for predictable service and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The target audience for InMotion Hosting includes businesses of all sizes, digital agencies, developers, and enterprises that view hosting as a critical component of their operations. The platform caters to a wide range of hosting needs, from Shared Hosting powered by their proprietary UltraStack configuration to scalable Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and high-performance Dedicated Servers. This flexibility makes it suitable for various use cases, including eCommerce sites, resource-intensive applications, and mission-critical websites that require consistent uptime and performance. One of the standout features of InMotion Hosting is its UltraStack configuration, which is custom-engineered for optimal speed and stability. This unique server stack is designed to handle demanding workloads, ensuring that users experience minimal downtime and fast load times. Additionally, InMotion offers Premier Care bundles that provide comprehensive server management services, including security monitoring, backups, and Core Web Vitals optimization. These features are particularly beneficial for businesses that require more than just basic hosting services, allowing them to focus on their core operations while InMotion manages the technical aspects. InMotion Hosting distinguishes itself through its commitment to customer support. All support interactions are handled by trained technical professionals rather than automated systems or offshore call centers. This ensures that customers receive knowledgeable assistance 24/7, with support available via live chat, phone, and support tickets. The emphasis on human expertise means that when issues arise, customers can rely on experienced professionals who understand the intricacies of hosting, providing peace of mind during critical situations. With over 25 years of founder-led, employee-owned operation, InMotion Hosting prioritizes stability and customer-centric decision-making. The absence of private equity backing allows the company to focus on long-term goals rather than short-term profits, resulting in predictable pricing and a roadmap driven by customer needs. For businesses that demand a reliable hosting partner capable of delivering exceptional performance and support, InMotion Hosting stands out as a trustworthy choice, committed to the success of its clients.

"Great price with lots of extra's included"

5/5

What do you like best about InMotion Hosting?

They worked with us to offer the best price while still giving us the features we need. The hosting plan included some key features that we use daily including personalized email account, email forwarding, an upgraded pro Boldgrid account, WordPress, an SSL, a domain name and lots of free software included in our package. Plus their customer support is outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

Other then wishing they offered us a discount for being a nonprofit organization I can't think of a single negative issue we've had using them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"InMotion Hosting is a Solid Hosting Choice"

3/5

What do you like best about InMotion Hosting?

Their support is second to none. That's not to say that their support reps are perfect. They are people and sometimes they mess up. But 95% of my support requests are handled quickly and competently. They are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

InMotion doesn't have system outages very often. Maybe twice per year. But when they do, they are very bad and seem to last for days. Which is unacceptable. I host a LOT of websites and have wanted to leave them for months now, but it's not something I can just do at the drop of a hat. Take time and planning and that's where I'm at right now. I love the fact that they give unlimited email addresses. We switched over to them for this reason and it has been the best feature so far. They also have a very easy to use interface with support every step of the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

Sometimes emails get flagged as spam and it's a pain to contact support to resolve it. We had this issue much more in the beginning but it almost never comes up now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

InMotion Hosting has proven to be a fantastic business partner. I run my website on one of their VPS-3000 plans. The performance is unbeatable as is the price! "Powerful, Affordable, and Excellent Customer Service"

5/5

What do you like best about InMotion Hosting?

We have been working with InMotion Hosting for five years now. The Domain, Hosting, and Wordpress solutions they offer are stellar! As a business, it is important for us to have all the above services in one place. InMotion Hosting delivers this on so many fronts. First, the domain registrar process is quick and easy. Search for an available domain name, choose an affordable plan, and snag your site. Second, the hosting options are very robust with all the major applications at your fingertips, databases in a snap, and the full features of cPanel for efficient usability. Finally, the Wordpress synchronization is vital to small businesses looking for a step up from typical cookie-cutter free sites like Wix, Weebly and Squarespace. While those websites are good for tech newbies, InMotionHosting offers Wordpress in a standalone format. Beginner hosting like GoDaddy forces you to use their proprietary web interface in order to do simple Wordpress functions like installing plugins, widget, etc. With InMotionHosting, Wordpress in installed on your domain and you have free range over all its features - no middle man. Choose InMotionHosting for a one-stop shop for all your online needs! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

Only one complaint with InMotionHosting. We purchase Domain Privacy from InMotionHosting to conceal ownership information to reduce solicitation and somehow individual ownership was still accessible with a simple WHOIS search. Not too happy about that. However, their support is top notch, server up-time is impeccable, and insightful industry best practices are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of best web hosting companies"

3.5/5

What do you like best about InMotion Hosting?

The first time I register with InMotion Hosting from 2 years ago and of course I was hesitant because I didn't register with them before and I didn know any friend who had joined them so it was difficult but I finally decided to register with InMotion Hosting, in fact most thing make me happy the quick technical support, technical support staff do not leave you when they make sure that your problem has been finally resolved.

As employees are able to solve any problem they may face in a short period of time. So, I can say that the best thing about this company is the staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

The subdomains don't work, and if you want to install a SSL certificate you can install it if you get one from InMotion Hosting and this is annoying.

And sometimes I wait a few minutes to connect with a technical support employee to help me solve my issue, but this doesn't always happen.

I don't think there is anything I didn't like otherwise in InMotion Hosting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InMotion Hosting?

Little bit expensive than other but still worth every penny Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering InMotion Hosting:

I have been a quite satisfied client of their services.Although, one of the core reason why I chose them was for my own benefit as they provided free cPanel & WHM service, which would have saved me quite good bucks. Their billing system WHMCS is just amazing and eases up all the hefty work by replacing any other billing software. However, one of the unique features of Inmotion, unlike any other hosting firms, was that they offer WordPress services in a standalone format. One of the most attractive and convincing factors of finalizing their services was their reliability and their understanding of what we desire. They tackle each client after understanding their needs and then accordingly suggests the best possible offer and service. Customer support is one thing that has made Inmotion a brand in the field of web hosting services. Their 24*7 customer support has with their technical staff helps me to deal with any doubt or issue within few minutes .I used Their referral programs and they are really give too much for new clients i don't have big group so if you know many people then give a try to their referral programs. They are pocket-friendly and moreover can provide a solid base for the startup website too. There aren't many factors they need to improve but I encountered a problem with their domain privacy and sometime with SSL installation. But they are fast in fixing issue so never mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is InMotion Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

They are only providing SSD which is quite good and very responsive and fast for the transfer of files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
