"Easy to use but does not allow to give beautiful visual effects"

What do you like best about Impress?

I use OpenOffice Impress when I have to make presentations for a non-demanding audience. In the sense, presentations that should not impress. It is a pity that it is the name of the program that fails in its use. But the upside is that you can easily install it on any computer and you can create files that are compatible with other viewers as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impress?

I don't like that there aren't so many preset templates you can use. Setting the page, or where to change the size of the slides, is not easy to find. Every time I spend time searching for the command. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Impress?

Impress is pretty much the backbone of our company. We keep track of every current order's status religiously using it and are able to see what people ordered for their past orders as well. When I started at the company, I found it didn't take me very long at all to get used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impress?

The program looks somewhat outdated, and sometimes it runs slow, and there isn't a lot of online support if you run into issues, but beyond that, I don't have any issues. It does what it is programmed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Impress:

Impress is great at what it does and anyone thinking about getting into screen printing should look into using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Impress solving and how is that benefiting you?

We don't solve problems with Impress so much as rely on it completely to keep track of our current orders. We have Impress set up so that we can scan bar codes on work orders and have their status automatically update, which is a really nice and convenient feature. "Graphical appearance not the best"

What do you like best about Impress?

I like that the use of the program is exactly the same as all other programs for creating publications. The advantage is that it also allows opening presentations created with other programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impress?

I don't like that you can't give graphic attributes to make the presentation attractive. They have a very retro look. The transition effects don't have a great final effect during the projection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Impress?

I like that the commands to create a presentation are simple and intuitive, in the layout column there are already preset boxes that are very convenient for speeding up the work. In fact, by inserting those boxes, the program automatically gives the possibility to insert images, tables, text, videos, or charts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impress?

When I copy and paste tables created in OpenOffice Calc, sometimes it doesn't import the formatting, so I have to edit part of the chart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Needs update"

What do you like best about Impress?

Good for entering in notes on customers and pricing, and keeping an order in one place and handing off to the next department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impress?

Seriously needs an update to bring it into the 21st century. The rare updates that do get released cause the program to lag/crash. It is not user friendly or intuitive in the slightest, and it takes far too many clicks to find one thing you’re looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
