The output is always tidy and well-organized, and making updates or changes is consistently simple. It has saved me a significant amount of time, especially when handling design record updates or comparing different parts and revisions. In my experience, it is far superior to Visual FAIR or Discus, both of which I have used in the past. I have been using ldeagen Quality Management (Inspection Xpert) regularly—often several times a month—since 2017, and I have truly appreciated the excellent customer support and the way new features have been introduced to address my changing requirements. I value the software so highly that I have actually persuaded four different companies to adopt it. In my view, it is currently the best software available for this particular purpose. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Control?** One of my primary concerns with this software is the lack of significant updates over the past four years. The OCR component still has persistent bugs that are difficult to fix, and the OCR library itself remains quite limited in what it can do. Although updating the library appears technically feasible, there is a noticeable absence of guidance or support to help users through the process. Support for building or modifying Excel-based templates using tokens is also very limited. These factors together make deployment and implementation challenging. Since 2021, I have not seen any substantial improvements or meaningful new features added to the software. Furthermore, the recent move to a new business model that now charges for deployment or integration support is a major departure from my earlier experiences with the software, or from the way Jeff Cope managed things when the company was still based in Raleigh, NC. Even when a drawing is revised it is quick and easy to update everything. Being able to select Gages for each characteristic from a user defined list is helpful and another time saver. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Control?** I really dislike the way Lists such as 'Methods' (Inspection Gages used) have to be updated. Having to update a .csv file, delete all existing entries first, and then Upload the revised .csv file seems laborious and there has to be a better way. Maybe the lists could be maintained and controlled within the software itself but still allow a .csv file to be uploaded if necessary. **What problems is Ideagen Quality Control solving and how is that benefiting you?** The software makes our lives so much easier when it comes to bubbling drawings and creating master inspection reports. As you balloon the drawing it immediatley populates Form 3 with the ballooned features, eliminating the need to manually transfer information. When I started this position populating inspection reports and net inspect could take days if not weeks of maticulous combing and data entry. With the direct to net-inspect option I can have an entire FAIR populated in minutes. The ability to create an inspection report straight to Excel has saved me a lot of time. I also find the interface very easy to use, with minimal direction Im able to accomplish almost everything i need to do. **What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Control?** Cmm expert isnt what i thought it would be or i just havent recieved the training i need for it. i can pull data from individual parts which is great for a FAIR but a range inclusive entire job worth of inspection data hasnt been figured out. Also needs more Font recognition options, I dont mind typing every balloon out but sometimes the program gives false hope and recognizes one point perfect and another completely off. **What problems is Ideagen Quality Control solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some parts have 10 points of data entry and some have thousands.
