I have used Icinga and Icinga2 heavily in my previous experiences. It helped to migrate all monitors from nagios to icinga2 with lot of automation from frontend . For example Importing probes from Icinga2 director was very useful.It saved lot of time and can import 1000's of probles with single click. I was very happy with distributed monitoring feature specially using master and satellite zones concept.Overall It helped to completely monitor infra,app,logs ,url etc with ease to integrate with CM tools like ansible and alerting tools like pagerduty,slack etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Icinga2 is really useful and also has clearly documents for starter or newbie who wants to monitor the large network and services environment. It's also support distribution monitoring modeling, this very helpful for scaling and growing of automation services if needed. Almost you needed that container by this platform with Icinga2 core, IcingaWeb2 frontend and ton of amazing plugins from official or community. It's really good. Some alarms may have a delay, depending on how large the monitoring system is, and they can give false positives, although in Nagios the same thing happens, it doesn't reach 100% real-time but rather 90% or 95%. The large number of views it offers can sometimes be more of a disadvantage than an advantage, as in some views certain alarms may appear and in others different ones...
