**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

It is an amazing and robust tool so far I have used. We have already automated several workflows related to our day to day activity including support register, IOC (indicator of compromize) parsing and automation received from different sources. It has quite user friendly user interface to create, update/modify different workflows or automations. It's native python scripting which made it more robust, strong for advance automated workflow creatoin. It has numbers of plugins as well as capabilities to integration with multiple services or systems of components. We found this is quite easy to implement and extensive customer support epecially through our SI "Secbounty, India" and local partner "Zara Zaman Technologies Limited, Bangladesh". We are using this almost everyday and frequency is very number.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I feel this is somewhat costly though getting such product and features, there should incur cost.

It reduced the trun around time (TAT) decreased signaficantly as repeated activities have been done through this RPA. Moreover, the accuracy is increased almost the cent percent as it is doing exactly what had been programed/instructed /designed for. It usually took more than two hours to process VISA provided IOCs to make this compatible for differenet systems/devices/servers along with humar resource/engagement. Using RPA, it only took hardly 1 or 2 minutes to process/make the same and fully automated without almost zero human interaction.

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I found it quite productive, especially in terms of prompting managers to think about the processes in their areas that can be automated. Furthermore, the possibility of taking on more activities without increasing the number of employees and the reduction of errors in the various automated processes are extremely relevant to the process.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I am concerned about the maintenance of these robots. As long as the developer is "among us," it's fine, but from the moment there is a change of personnel, I have seen RPA processes get lost because the professional who took over the position couldn't establish the same line of reasoning as the original developer.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some processes simply were not executed due to a lack of manpower. After structuring various automation processes, it was possible to get things in order and not leave any loose ends.

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I consider that the main gain is related to the time of the analysts involved with the demand; they have more time to actually analyze and create action plans, instead of doing manual work that is often repeated in the same way every day.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

As I am an analyst and cell leader, I make the automation request to another sector, for this reason I have no complaints so far.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reports that need to be sent every day to the same people, with the sales results of the previous day plus the accumulated monthly total. Another report is always sent at the beginning of each month with the results of a category management program for an external client, who provides us with data, we work on their data and then share the results, every month in the same format. A task we studied with Carlos's Training and will proceed with is about maintaining our market structure, where each registered item undergoes analysis at several levels. Currently, we receive an average of 400 items per month to do manually, but since the database is good, we will automate everything that already exists within the database, for example, Shampoo, when a new shampoo is registered, it will meet the registration rules of previously registered shampoos. But we are starting a project to map more opportunities and further optimize our time.

  ### 15. Resources and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

The system has many features, and they are easy to use. Our project trained people without IT experience, business users, and it was very smooth. Having a good understanding of logic makes it easy.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

There are few, today it serves us completely. A tedious part is the version update on the production machines, as the versions often released are not the clearest.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Various problems, we managed to automate hundreds of processes, in a simple and secure way. Currently, we have a CSC to monitor the environments and develop more complex scripts.

  ### 16. Process automation consultant

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Gabriel S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I have been working with IBM RPA for more than 1 year, and the good things I can highlight are:
• Great adaptability of the RPA Studio when developing bots. Having both the drag-and-drop option and the option to "write" the code makes it easy to start programming. Personally, the drag-and-drop bothers me a bit, so I feel more comfortable writing code.
• Multiple integrations with programs. I find it faster to automate SAP with IBM RPA than with other tools.
• The website for managing the tool seems very convenient to me. The dashboard, bot schedules, etc.
• Very good support area from IBM with the tool. They have always been very willing to answer my questions and are active in their work.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I have been working with IBM RPA for more than 1 year, and the bad things I can highlight are:
• The installation of the tool has brought me several problems. I had to request assistance from support to complete it, because things like the Vault or bot programming were not working. The assistance I received was good.
• The documentation of the tool is unclear on some of its pages. One reads the documentation but still has doubts. It doesn't happen with all chapters of its documentation, but it does with some.
• I find the way the tool focuses on sales to be not very intuitive. You have to take extra steps compared to other automation tools.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With IBM RPA, I have been solving various company problems regarding task automation. We have done many SAP automations, saving space in different areas such as IT Security, Accounting, and Treasury. We have done some automations with Excel, generating reports and then sending them by mail. We automated the extraction of the dollar exchange rate and then uploaded it to SAP. We use it to extract information from digital invoices and upload them to a portal.

  ### 17. Needs improvement

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo F. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I liked the development part, I found the studio to be a very interactive and easy tool for developing RPA. The recorder part is also nice and helps in identifying elements.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I did not like the tenant, the scheduler is confusing and does not stop when we deactivate it, the robot continues to execute anyway. Another thing I did not like was the recognition of system elements like SAP, IBM does not recognize some of the main buttons of SAP, to work around this we had to use SAP's own script. Another thing that I think should be simpler is the configuration of security keys, the installation is confusing and you still have to install a certificate on the machine.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IBM RPA solved a problem of creating reservations in SAP, the logistics staff needs to create material reservations in SAP every day so that the distribution center can send the materials to the destination centers.

  ### 18. Powerful tool. Challenging learning process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco Antonio F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

The names of the tools are very intuitive, making it easier to create scripts and learn the tool. With this, we were able to automate some processes that previously took a lot of time to execute.

Even without much programming knowledge, I was able to learn how to use the tool (IBM RPA Studio) fairly quickly.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

The documentation on the IBM site is not very weak. The explanations are not clear for the user/developer.

And the courses on the IBM site are not available in Portuguese, making it difficult for those who do not have knowledge of English to learn.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had some routines that needed to be executed daily, at the same time, including on weekends. With the automation of these processes, we gained time to perform other tasks.

Here are some examples: Sending SMS to our clients informing them that they have overdue invoices, sending SMS to our clients informing them of the received service protocol number, automated creation of email signatures by retrieving information from an Excel spreadsheet, and others.

  ### 19. High performance automation with IBM RPA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio C. | Analista de Automação, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

It is a simple platform with a low learning curve. The development of automation is quick and practical, as almost everything needed for end-to-end automation is already available on the platform, without the need for additional package installation. A variety of commands make automation practical.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Some versions had updates where something didn't go as expected and some things that used to work stopped functioning. The release of APIs for communication with the repository is something that would bring a very significant benefit to the platform. Improve task scheduling by having more options.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us with automations that bring value to the business. Thus, we have been able to free up employees who were doing repetitive and tiring tasks, allowing them to use their time better. It supports us with financial returns, as we have a very large processing capacity, which would require many people to do manually.

  ### 20. Workshop IBM ViaFlow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ESROM O. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Reading documents with the OCR function will be the most important item compared to other tools on the market.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

There are many limitations in the tool, what is most lacking is the automation of Google and Microsoft (Online) spreadsheets. We have to make a very great development effort to automate this feature.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IBM RPA solved problems for extremely repetitive processes, typing errors, and routines that are executed during periods when we do not have labor available.

  ### 21. Overall it is positive.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renan R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Quite easy to update the code and implement in production.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

There is no "or" and "and" operator.
It would be nice if "logMessage" also created a local log.
Bugs.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of processes and cost reduction.

  ### 22. The IBM tool is very practical and intuitive.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guilherme C. | Líder Técnico, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Programming with Studio is simple and easy even for those who are not familiar with programming, as the block commands prevent possible implementation errors.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I see that there is a lack of detail in the documentation of some commands. There are commands where the documentation has more fields than exist in the Studio, for example.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Execute functions that required a lot of time and attention from analysts such as: accessing websites to print demands that arise without a defined schedule, which currently are not printed but are in the company's ERP; product registration process that required extreme attention due to the number of fields to fill in; sending invoices to clients of specific operations; filling in goals in the system; extracting reports from the system. The benefits of using the tool are not limited only to the time saved, but also to the accuracy that RPA provides.

  ### 23. Productivity tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davi M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Time saving.
With the schedules, even if I am not present, the tasks will be completed without fail.
Create a receipt pattern, the report will always be in its proper place at that time.
Repetitive and standardized tasks cease to be a burden.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

There is no easy understanding of the commands we use infrequently, the database that teaches us to use such commands is confusing. Besides being just a translation into Portuguese, making it difficult to understand some words.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here at the company, we have many repetitive tasks, such as sending daily stock, previous day's sales, mass registration updates, among various other simple everyday tasks, but they are time-consuming. With RPA, we can make this fast, efficient, and frequent. Even on a holiday, day off, vacation, etc.

  ### 24. Ease of using IBM RPA for data migrations from legacy systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luiz F. | Mr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

The ease of programming interactions with the screen (Desktop Automation), using only Drag&Drop and reading Excel files without needing to open Excel on the screen, are points that greatly facilitate my work in automating data migration between legacy systems.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Database interaction commands like Bulk Insert are not fast in execution. Before executing the command, it is necessary to prepare the data in a data table to use the command. When I am working with many tables, this affects performance.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data migration from legacy systems, the data originates from screens and Excel files, this migration is being done to an updated database server that will meet the client's API requirements.

  ### 25. RPA - productivity gain

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

The possibility of automating repetitive tasks that take up a lot of the team's time, which need to be executed, but take time from an employee who could be performing more strategic activities. I also consider the issue of agility and assertiveness in the process, which greatly improves with the implementation of RPA.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

I don't see any negative points in the tool.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Repetitive activities that take up an analyst's time for execution are time-consuming tasks that need to be performed and end up taking a lot of the analyst's time, who needs to deliver more elaborate activities.

  ### 26. RPA - Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chrigor N. | Analista de Desenvolvimento de Sistemas - RPA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Among its various features, the most useful is the option to develop low-code, which is ideal for beginners to learn easily and quickly while it is also possible to write in script for the more experienced. This ends up being a differentiator among all the tools.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Few things are "slightly" useful on the platform. I would say that the biggest negative point on the platform is the fact that there are many updates and drastic version changes where the components change the way they act from one to another. Thus breaking already stable RPAs.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Various, such as examples of task opening executions sent to a corporate email. Where the RPA reads the emails and opens the task with all the content and attachments present there.

  ### 27. Simplified automation

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Despite being a Big Tech, the company's customer service/support is fantastic, fast, and available 24 hours a day. In addition, the tool is comprehensive and meets practically all the automation needs we have had so far.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Some instabilities in certain versions, which are quickly resolved by releasing a new version, but when switching versions, it is necessary to perform a series of tests on the scripts, which is a bit annoying.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 100 automated processes in various areas such as commercial, tax, accounting, purchasing... Currently, we have a very high ROI, and a great advantage is that the software is easy to use, making it easier to scale, as business users can learn it easily.

**What do you like best about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

The IBM RPA Studio is very easy to use. Visually, it has the appearance of a programming IDE, which makes it easy to follow visually, whether in designer or script mode.

The variety of commands allows you to automate many processes. Even in complicated graphical interfaces, the interface recognition via OCR adds a lot of versatility to the platform.

The automatic report generator is a very powerful feature when you need to work with specialized reports, whose data comes from different sources.

I like the functionality of deploying multiple versions of the same robot at once, which allows you to make improvements and test its operation in a test environment without needing to touch the production version.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

Among the disadvantages, I see that some concepts are a bit difficult to understand, such as exception handling.

Also, the way of handling some control flow commands, such as managing multiple conditions within an IF, which makes it necessary to add many more commands than needed.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The possibility of automating tasks allows us to save time to perform other daily tasks. All the simple and repetitive tasks that we have to perform every day can be automated, providing speed and time savings. Thus, we can dedicate ourselves with greater quality to tasks that demand more attention.

**What do you dislike about IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?**

With a complete tool where we have the possibility to configure and parameterize according to the organization's needs, it is difficult to describe a negative point. However, something that could be improved is the user interaction screen; the menus could be clearer and more intuitive. For example, when hovering the mouse over an item, a more detailed description of the item's function could appear.

**What problems is IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our operations, we have several email sending processes where we need to gather customer information to fill in these details. At this point, IBM Robotic comes into play, automating the process of retrieving this information. Another process is the automation of reports; after parameterization, our reports are generated automatically.
