BigScience is inspired by other open science initiatives where researchers have pooled their time and resources to collectively achieve a higher impact. The architecture of BLOOM is essentially similar to GPT3 (auto-regressive model for next token prediction), but has been trained on 46 different languages and 13 programming languages. It's also useful for experimenting with and understanding multilingual AI models. Good value for the cost. It’s free to use and gives me useful results for basic text generation and experimentation. **What do you dislike about bloom?** Sometimes it struggles with more complex reasoning and can give inconsistent answers on detailed or specialized tasks. I also find that some outputs need to be checked and refined before using them. **What problems is bloom solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me with basic text generation and summarization. Getting use to a new system is not always fun. **What problems is bloom solving and how is that benefiting you?** its making notating BLVs easier because it is centralizing all communication in one place instead of having to document everything across multiple systems. ### 5. That makes it a good fit for low-latency API calls. **What do you dislike about bloom?** The least helpful part for me is the memory usage and the overall bloat it comes with. On top of that, the hallucinations have been throwing me off for quite a while. **What problems is bloom solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me solve tasks designed for Small Language Models, as well as agentic AI operations, with only minimal harnessing. ### 6. Whenever I ran into an error, I would ask Bloom for help to solve it, and it usually provided the correct approach and pointed out the mistakes I had made, which helped me learn from them. ### 7.
