In addition customer support has gotten really bad. No proactive communication on potential contract renewal, account was completely disabled which affected our own clients. Then when problem was rectified wasnt told my agreement had been renewed without our consent. This issue led to big issues and us wanting to terminate the agreement but being told we were bound by the terms so have to be forced to be a continued partner with an organization that lost its way as they have grown. **What problems is Hook Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the security awareness training component of so many of our client's compliance requirements. Hook isn't focused on the "haha, gotchya, and you're a terrible risk in our organization" -- they're focused on the "let's learn together how to become more security-aware". To get employees to participate in the training, they have two methods - humorous and more formal - to match your Org's culture. I was very thoughouly onboarded by one dedicated person who built a customized task list with videos which helped tremendously. After using and demoing several competitors, I feel 100% comfortable recommending Hook to others. While they're a "smaller" company at the time of writing, that doesn't stop them from having all of the "big" company features, plus some. **What do you dislike about Hook Security?** I have yet to find any downsides to using Hook. Unlike bigger competitors, you are not treated as "just another number". I feel like my business is valued and appreciated. **What problems is Hook Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** According to our Baseline Testing, Hook is solving a 60% "fail rate" in our organization. The solution contains fully customizable Phishing Attack Simulations and customizable landing pages, and "Hooked" pages to fit what I want to accomplish. Their creative templates fuel me to formulate examples that one user in our Organization called "Genius". She said, "After many cybersecurity trainings, with previous organizations, I still fell for it!" It's taken a lot off of MY plate to come up with and keep a training program updated. Plus, the Phishing Simulations are GREAT with landing pages that allow you to see if your user will type in information. It is invaluable to know if your user will not only click the link (no-no) but ALSO extend data. **What do you dislike about Hook Security?** I wish the auto reporting feature was a little more flexible. I'd like to be able to one time set up the report and have it auto run to my email on a specified day. Don't get me wrong, they have reporting that will do it, I just don't need as much information as it gives, so being able to fine-tune it for us would be really nice. **What problems is Hook Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've had one security breach, another user out $500 from a gift card scam, and we still have users that click links occasionally. What Hook really does for us is allow us a glimpse into whether our cyber awareness program is working or not. We train with their files, but the phishing simulations tell us whether it's working or not. If I were going to nitpick, I'd comment on the look and feel of the admin portal. It has made me much more careful with what I click on and open up in my email because of the test emails they send out monthly. I failed a couple of times, and after reviewing the test that I had failed and the subsequent videos they show you where you made a mistake, I am not much more aware of phishing scams and less likely to click on anything harmful. ### 26. Well-produced, clever, memorable videos and written content that bring security awareness concepts home to a wide corporate audience. **What do you dislike about Hook Security?** I haven't seen a good way to have a new hire "catch up" on training they didn't receive that everyone else in the company already has. It could be I just missed it, but it would be nice to see each time we enroll a new user that Hook would actively encourage that new person to review all the same training modules from past months. **What problems is Hook Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a consistent security awareness training to keep up our culture of security and satisfy our SOC 2 Type II annual audit requirements. The reporting makes it really easy for us to confirm that we have full compliance with our training program, and the system does a good job of nudging our team. ### 29. One issue we had with a previous partner was it was very easy to spot a phishing email. In reality, some phishing attempts, especially those aimed at the C-Suite member, can be pretty elaborate.
