We used Holvi to manage our payments for employees as well as provisions. According to Holvi that was not a purely operational activity, they canceled our accounts as they claimed we are doing speculations. The support was not helpful, just told us that they canceled and that it is the way it is, and also did not respond further.

The app is awesome, especially the notification that it sends with each payment. It is great for assigning receipts and categorising expenses. I especially like how it notifies you when a payment comes into your account, instead of having to monitor the incoming payments on your account at all times. The only thing that annoys me is that it lacks the ability to assign custom tax rates when purchasing from other jurisdictions. For example, if I get charged VAT at 20% from a different country, but I live in Finland where the tax rate is 24%, I can't assign the 20% tax rate for my product - if it did this, I could probably consider getting rid of a huge step in my accounting process. Holvi has a good start in terms of providing the right amount of bookkeeping functionality that freelancers in Germany need in order to comply with accounting / tax reporting requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Holvi could be such a good platform, but I routinely run into bugs that prevent me from getting the full value out of the platform. (I use the term bug as somebody who has founded and run multiple software startups over the past 15 years... these aren't user errors I'm encountering). I've taken the time to report these bugs to the company, but they've mostly fallen on deaf ears. That is, they send me back rather unhelpful canned responses and assume that the problem lies on my end and not with their platform.

It's also been my experience that the company's support team seems more interested in closing tickets as quickly as possible vs. providing even the basics of good customer service. For example, they routinely close tickets before I have a chance to respond. Again, I've taken the time to share feedback with them on their lackluster support multiple times (and have even offered to consult with them on how to improve their customer service), but this has mostly, again, has gone mostly unanswered. Holvi first froze our account without previous warning or any communication, preventing us from accessing our funds. Shortly after they closed our account and terminated the contract, without any justification. When we called to ask what was happening and why, they refused to give us any information on the phone and told us to read the email. We then received a standardized email referring to some clause in the Terms and Conditions that basically says that Holvi can close any account at their discretion. That's it. Nothing more. This treatment is unbelievably unprofessional and irresponsible. We do not recommend this bank. Go to a different institution, even if it takes longer to set up an account there, because the risk of having no accessible business funds from one day to the next should not be taken. A very simple interface, clean and easy ro understand.You can link your account movements to your own category that make very easy to understand them.

The mobile app does not work ver weel, there are aome features like transfer you have some problema to execute them.
