All our experiences have either been neutral or horrible. So we have nothing positive to say. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** Their customer service which is horrible. They do not bother actually reading the emails they receive. They just try to put the blame elsewhere. **What problems is Holvi solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's certainly not solving the challange of international transfers. That's for sure... ### 2. According to Holvi that was not a purely operational activity, they canceled our accounts as they claimed we are doing speculations. The support was not helpful, just told us that they canceled and that it is the way it is, and also did not respond further. It is a shame that an otherwise attractive service has such bad policy decisions and does not talk to their customer to clarify but simply cancels the service. **What do you like best about Holvi?** Many accounts and a low fee. But that did not help much, as they canceled our service. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** We used Holvi to manage our payments for employees as well as provisions. It is great for assigning receipts and categorising expenses. I especially like how it notifies you when a payment comes into your account, instead of having to monitor the incoming payments on your account at all times. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** The only thing that annoys me is that it lacks the ability to assign custom tax rates when purchasing from other jurisdictions. For example, if I get charged VAT at 20% from a different country, but I live in Finland where the tax rate is 24%, I can't assign the 20% tax rate for my product - if it did this, I could probably consider getting rid of a huge step in my accounting process. **Recommendations to others considering Holvi:** Fantastic app for a great banking service **What problems is Holvi solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves my money management for my business - the visuals also allow me to predict incoming payments and cash flow as well. ### 4. Buggy platform with mIediocre support **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Brad B. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019 **What do you like best about Holvi?** Holvi has a good start in terms of providing the right amount of bookkeeping functionality that freelancers in Germany need in order to comply with accounting / tax reporting requirements. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** Holvi could be such a good platform, but I routinely run into bugs that prevent me from getting the full value out of the platform. (I use the term bug as somebody who has founded and run multiple software startups over the past 15 years... these aren't user errors I'm encountering). I've taken the time to report these bugs to the company, but they've mostly fallen on deaf ears. That is, they send me back rather unhelpful canned responses and assume that the problem lies on my end and not with their platform. It's also been my experience that the company's support team seems more interested in closing tickets as quickly as possible vs. providing even the basics of good customer service. For example, they routinely close tickets before I have a chance to respond. Again, I've taken the time to share feedback with them on their lackluster support multiple times (and have even offered to consult with them on how to improve their customer service), but this has mostly, again, has gone mostly unanswered. **Recommendations to others considering Holvi:** Brace yourself for a platform that's still rough around the edges and don't expect much in the way of support **What problems is Holvi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I opened an account with Holvi to make managing the bookkeeping and banking of my part-time, freelance consulting practice easier. Bookkeeping technology in Germany is basically still in the stone age, so Holvi offered a platform that took a step in the right direction.The ### 5. Do not use this service in any case. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** Holvi first froze our account without previous warning or any communication, preventing us from accessing our funds. Shortly after they closed our account and terminated the contract, without any justification. When we called to ask what was happening and why, they refused to give us any information on the phone and told us to read the email. We then received a standardized email referring to some clause in the Terms and Conditions that basically says that Holvi can close any account at their discretion. That's it. Nothing more. This treatment is unbelievably unprofessional and irresponsible. We do not recommend this bank. Go to a different institution, even if it takes longer to set up an account there, because the risk of having no accessible business funds from one day to the next should not be taken. **Recommendations to others considering Holvi:** There is a high risk of Holvi closing your account from one day to the next without any reason. **What problems is Holvi solving and how is that benefiting you?** SCAM! It can include your own e-shop linking payments and invoicing linking rhem too to your account. **What do you dislike about Holvi?** The mobile app does not work ver weel, there are aome features like transfer you have some problema to execute them.
