Hollinford Technologies Reviews & Provider Details

Hollinford Technologies is a UK software modernisation company. We work with small and mid-sized businesses that are running on outdated systems — the kind that were built a decade ago, are held together by people who half-remember how they work, and are quietly becoming a risk to the business. Most companies know their legacy software is a problem. What stops them from doing anything about it is the uncertainty. How long will it take? What will it cost? What breaks in the meantime? Traditional modernisation projects have a poor track record on all three. We do things differently. Before any rebuild starts, we use AI-assisted analysis to map how the existing system actually works — its logic, its dependencies, the parts that matter and the parts that don't. This replaces the months teams normally spend reverse-engineering old code manually. It means we can give clients a clear picture of what they have, what needs to change, and in what order, before any rebuild begins. That analysis is the basis of our Legacy Health Check — a structured assessment every engagement starts with. It tells you where your technical risk sits, what genuinely needs replacing, and what can stay in place. You get a prioritised modernisation roadmap you can act on, whether you continue working with us or not. For clients who do continue, the rebuild happens incrementally. We work in stages, keeping the live system running throughout, so daily operations are not disrupted. Projects are delivered at a fixed price, agreed upfront. We work across a range of industries where legacy software is common — manufacturing, legal, healthcare, retail, and education. Our clients are typically businesses with 20 to 200 employees who have outgrown their existing systems but are not large enough to absorb a failed modernisation project. Hollinford Technologies was founded by a team with more than 25 years of experience building and maintaining complex software systems for large organisations. We started the company because we kept seeing the same problems — legacy systems that nobody wanted to touch, modernisation projects that dragged on for years, and businesses stuck waiting. We knew there was a better way to do it. Hollinford Technologies is based in Cheshire, UK, founded in 2026.
