We were looking for an affordable EOR for months, and honestly, most of them were way out of budget for a small company like ours. Then we found Columbus. The onboarding was super smooth, contracts ready in just two days, and everything explained clearly. I especially appreciated how human their team felt, it’s not just chatbots or automated replies. Our account manager, Julia, was patient with every single question we had, and trust me, there were many. :D What I really liked was how easy they made it to understand local benefits and compliance requirements. We hired one employee in Spain and another in Portugal, and Columbus handled both without issues. They even checked in after the first payroll to make sure everything went through fine, which gave us a lot of confidence.

Would be great if they added a quicker chat option like WhatsApp or Slack, sometimes I just need a short confirmation, and sending an email feels a bit too formal for that.

Before Columbus, hiring abroad felt complicated and expensive. We didn’t want to set up a legal entity just to bring one person on board. Columbus handled it all: contracts, taxes, payments, everything. It’s also way cheaper than other options we looked at (some were literally double the price). Now, we’ve got two happy team members in Europe, everything’s compliant, and payroll runs smoothly. It’s been such a relief to know we don’t have to worry about breaking any local rules or missing deadlines. I’d definitely recommend them to any small business that wants to go global without the stress.

They were super fast in getting our team onboarded. I was surprised how quick it went, and believe i was so stress about hiring the whole team. The team actually replies to emails fast, which is rare these days.

At the moment, I don’t have any specific dislikes. My experience so far has been smooth, and I haven’t encountered anything problematic. If anything comes up in the future, I’d be happy to share it

They helped us hire our first employee in Germany without opening a company there. Saves a lot of admin work every month, and we can just focus on the actual business instead of dealing with paperwork.
