**What do you like best about HCSS?**

HCSS is easy to use when inputting time everyday. Seeing the Foreman's timekeeping and the ability to know where the approvals sit is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Quite a few steps to get logged in. The ability to change a time after approval. I don't understand the lock feature before approvals.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability for the Foreman to input time and the office to see it immediately to speed the daily time uploads are extremely helpful.

HCSS software makes tasks easier and allows the user to streamline tasks and meet the goals and timelines placed on them.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Just jumping into a program can seem intimidating with all of the tools available to you, but there is plenty of resources to put you at ease.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HCSS allows me to put bids together in a streamlined, and efficient manner. This allows us to go after multiple jobs confidently.

Having access to the support folks as well as the next level support Rob Pennington and the Rob Pennington of HeavyBid was very helpful. Additionally it was helpful being able to work through business problems with the leadership in person.

The session being full made it difficult to get into the classes that I wanted to attend.

Construction related sofware that works. you can also choose which ones you want and need.
we use Heavy Bid , Heavy Job, plans, equipment 360 and telematics. It work just as good with a 25 piece fleet as a 8000 piece fleet

alot to learn when you start but you pick up use fairly quickly.

The customer service at HCSS is amazing. You can reach people by phone, email or they can remote into your workstation to problem solve anything.

The OT tool for payroll is nice. But I honestly do not use HCSS enough to know any other helpful uses.

I have a hard time navigating the set up at times, it gets a little confusing.

I like that you can link other systems to pull data from.  Such as machine hours, and machine information.

Some steps and features could be streamlined to make it more efficient for users.
Especially in E360 and Heavy Jobs Equipment Detail Reports.

Literaly nothing. As long as they stick to their core business model thayt will be fine. If they move to doing business like larger software companies they will be just another run of the mill company.

Our only complaint is cost.  The cloud hosting is more expensive than some other options available and training is expensive compared to the market.

The ability for foreman to track everything that occurs on a job site.

Time Tracking and runny payroll. It's not very efficient when compare to alternatives.

I like that HeavyBid stores a lot of information

It's a much slower program and the features are out dates.

It allows us to track and approve time cards for our craft workforce and interns. It also allows us to charge our equipment useage. The Estimating Department uses is for bid management.

It keeps me organized and easy tracking of product. Moreover it keeps me ready to go next day.

1. It's not too flexible. 
2. Sometimes it is very slow & does not fully integrate with E360.

**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

Overall it's a good software & it was a fun learning how to operate. We've almost eliminated our whiteboard since using this software.

It is quite easy to manage in & out of equipment using Map technology. Can't it be combined with telematics?

Ease to draw and measure ODF plan files.  Ability to tracks all entries

It is difficult to customize and limited to 2D plan drawings

The entire HCSS platform is the ideal package for all large General!! Unfortunately it is too much and expensive for the small contractors.  Integrates well with all ERP software

Tracking project changes in the fuel.  Easy to upload drawings

Sending information to field and ability to track in office as well as in field. Also ability to import from excel.

Lag time when loading new jobs. Lag time when sending info to field.

Solving problems with coding our delivery tickets and with receiving material. 

We have benefited from field taking pictures and uploading directly to heavy job.

HeavyJob and HCSS support really are outstanding. Supporting a HeavyJob system for 3 years was a pleasure. Any issues, no matter how odd, HCSS support was always helpful

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

At the time, their mobile technology was not where it needed to be. I have noticed that HCSS has made strides there, so that is a plus.

**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

Using HeavyBid in the same house helps keep job estimating and production on the same page.

Busy Foreman and Superintendents were able to easily understand how to manage their job with HeavyJob

HeavyJob allows our foreman to submit timely reports to the office with photos and dairies. The production planning tools are excellent to help the foreman plan out the task ahead. The analysis reports give us great insight on how the tasks went.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

I haven’t found something I dislike about it yet.

**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

This is an excellent tool and easy to use for field personnel. Integrates with our estimating software and accounting software.

Time saver - there are periods where I need to
pump out a lot of quotes within a small time frame.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The user interface seems a bit dated but it's not a big deal.  Everything is functional, and that's all it matters.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes we need to scale from a small estimate into a bigger one, just to see what the total price will be.  I can easily do this with HB.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

Amazing support. The response is quick and it feels like everyone just wants you to be satisfied with the solution. It speeds up the time and accuracy of the information received from the field. There are many reports to help spot issues earlier rather than later: Daily over/under for Foremen and Superintendents, Over/under by cost code for high level review. The responsibility for working to the estimate is then shared through many layers of the company rather than top-down delayed information. 

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

It doesn't integrate as well with our accounting system when transferring time cards so some information is missing each month. This will not be the experience of other users if they do not use the same accounting software. 


**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

I love the support and the product. I wish they would let us customize things with special programming, but that is not an option. 

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have sped up the time in which data comes back to the office so we can spot issues with production and budgets before they get out of hand and while something can still be done.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

I enjoyed using this estimating and bidding software.  The bids took less time to prepare so made each estimator more productive in less time and it also reduced mistakes made by other software programs we had used in the past.  The feature I enjoyed the most was you are able to manage the DBE's and othe minority requirements.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Was hard in the beginning just until we learned the features of the software because it had so many more than what we were use to using.

The biggest problem that we have overcome is the elimination of mistakes

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

Heavy Bid works great managing and tracking information with large construction jobs. Time keeping works great and exports into other systems. Mobile app works well and syncs with Sage well.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The pricing structure gets expensive really fast as you add more users. Each field user that you to be able to access the system needs their own license and the product is sold in a way that each user has to be licensed. Large projects have alot of users.

**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

I would say HCSS HeavyJob is one of the industry leaders in this field. Biggest issue is pricing, gets very expensive very fast.

Project scheduling and time keeping are our biggest problems that HCSS HeavyJob help us with.

Very useful tool for time tracking and equipment posting. Easy to upload into your accounting software.

Can definitely be slow but that could be a function of our network combined with the huge amounts of data we keep in HeavyJob.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

HeavyBid allows us to adapt to what the market is demanding and many competitors are in the area. 
We are able to kick out more estimates, more accurately and efficiently making more sales for our company. It definitely increased our revenue, increased our market share, and ultimately increased our profitability.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Not able to be used by some of our teams that are not tech savy, a little bit too complicated for them.  They still prefer hand written estimates.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeavyBid is a multi-user software system that reduces errors and version issues of spreadsheets.  Allows you to build well-documented estimates that will be accessible as long as you need them, and it allows you to build complicated estimates with ease. They also provide you with instant 24/7 customer support for your last-minute bids and complicated estimates.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

I like how there is an organization plotted by foreman, so that you can see what each person does. The system works well when people are moving around often. Company crew leads can record time and materials information in the field using a laptop or mobile device. The data can then be sent directly to the office, avoiding manual double entry and errors. Users can also record diary entries and meetings, enter production quantities, and submit photos. Using these entries, job managers are able to track daily operations.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

It runs slow at times, and cannot handle multiple large functions at once. Often, It has sever problems trying to move data from ipad to computer. Also, you do not have full function on the computer. The app takes up a lot of space.

**Recommendations to others considering HCSS:**

Consider using a hard-wired internet. Also consider programming the transfer of data from ipad to computer, as it is often difficult to achieve. You can do (almost) anything if you try hard yourself. It can be difficult at times, I admit. If you want to analyze something without knowing how to do it, this may be not for you.
If you like working independently, then this is the product for you. Putting work into learning the app makes the job easier in the long run.

Keeping track of employee hours. I've realized that overall insurance of hourly entry is capable via heavy job.

HCSS heavy job has daily journals that are great information. The note index are super useful as well as the fact you can use heavy job as an app or online.

I like that you can export the time from HCSS to your payroll system. user can be detailed and there is room for typing

you have to approve each day, per employee. you cant select the entire timecard at once and approved. can be time consuming

You can reuse crews, labor rates, and cost codes.  It is repeatable for estimates. You can import from other projects.  

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The reports could be easier to use.  Sometimes crashes happen.

Have all your Activity Codes ready to go with all your crews and laborers prior to starting 

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can use this to export to our budget so there is no lag from the estimate to the budget. We can look back to see if we beat the budget on our job.
