Customer service is extremely fast, personalized, professional, and most importantly effective. They helped me exchange an old SpyTec GPS and they sent the new model before I even returned the old one. I would recommend this company to anybody looking for a reliable tracking service. Whether it be for equipment, goods, or personal uses, SpyTec GPS is the most reliably durable tracker I’ve ever used. I honestly can’t think of anything that I dislike. The subscription pricing is extremely fair, the battery life is considerably longer than other trackers, and the app is simple to use. The biggest thing this GPS has helped me with is that there’s no lag time. Whenever I need to see where one of my drivers is, I open the app and it shows his location right away. The most frustrating thing for me is that it keeps switching between my trucks. So when I go to check the history, instead of staying on the truck I’m actively viewing and monitoring live, it jumps back to a different truck—sometimes one that isn’t even on the road at the moment. Excellent long-term reliability and peace of mind with Spytec GPS. I’ve been using Spytec GPS three or four years now, and it has consistently delivered solid performance without major issues. Actually, I have had no issues and if there was something I didn’t understand or needed help with I just called or emailed and they got back to me next day and continued on smoothly. I have been very pleased with Spytec GPS's tracking abilities. It keeps track of my vehicles, and when I park them, it shows me on a map exactly where the asset is parked. I use the travel route feature the most, and it has done very well marking my routes, which I print out and put in a travel book. The initial setup was easy. I could not get the travel route feature to go end-to-end like it used to when I first purchased Spytec GPS units. On trips to Tennessee, Colorado, and Nevada, I could only get portions of the route to print and could not get a complete route from home to the destination and back home. I could see the entire route only by using day 2 to day 4 then day 4 to day8 type of viewing my routes. The price of the tracking has increased in price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most useful feature is the notifications it sends when the vehicle enters pre-selected locations, or when the vehicle is started and then begins moving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The worst part is when either the app or the device freezes in place. The vehicle will show as moving, but it stays stuck in the same spot on the map. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support team is very responsive and clearly knowledgeable about the product. I had an issue regarding the history switching to the cell tower location very often and they advised relocating the device. They also talked to the app developer and will be pushing out an update to increase the timeout from GPS position to cell tower backup that should reduce momentary jumps in position. I like that Spytec GPS gives me live updates and text and email updates. It’s easy to use, and I can change the settings to adjust them to what I specifically need, like the range of where it’s moving and how often it moves. I find Spytec GPS efficient. It sends reports quite often, with no major delay in knowing where my vehicle is, and the connectivity is very strong. It works very well.
