What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?

I have access to all the problems, independent of my level of experience on the platform. So, if I am a new user, but already have experience with problem solving, I can skip to harder problems.

I can submit the solutions to see the testing set failing, and unlock the test case to analise the code.

I can read about the best solution on the platform itself, and follow the thread of comments of a specific problem.

What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?

The job page offer jobs for US citizens only, what I do not am.

Besides I have been using HackerRank for some time, I have never received a message from any company that saw my profile. I feel like what I do on the platform itself is not contributing to my career directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data structure and algorithm problems, Java problems, string problems, mathematical problems as well. I have been training my brain to solve problems faster, and with more precision, having better scores at technical assignments and increasing my chances of getting a better job. What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?

It is hard to fit the code to the input of the HackerRank challenges. The order and the characters of the input must be carefully read and tested. The main reason is that the instructions on how to get input are adapted to Java but not Python or C. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:

You need to have previous experience in the basic use of your programming language. Specifically, you should understand how classes and functions work. For Julia, you must know the basics of how Julia's functions and "types" work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?

Quick snippets of code make it easy to use daily. The relatedness of the challenges forces you to review past work. On the other hand, understanding exactly how the code must receive input is not explained well for Python. It assumes code will come from "stdout". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hackerrank is great, I have practiced quite some time on it, and have felt quite a few benefits. For example, the 30 days of Code event that I did on the platform, was really fun and taught me a lot about Object-Oriented Programming. I frequently do the problem-solving section to improve my problem-solving.
