**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hackerrank is great, I have practiced quite some time on it, and have felt quite a few benefits. For example, the 30 days of Code event that I did on the platform, was really fun and taught me a lot about Object-Oriented Programming. I frequently do the problem-solving section to improve my problem-solving. The ability to sort problems using the topic is a good feature if you have learned something new and want to practice questions on it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamesh R. | Senior Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

The option to look for a test case or in simple words the "HACKOS". It really helps beginners to expand their point of view.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I have been using it for a very long time but I don't find anything specific to point out.
The only thing that I would suggest is that it takes too much time to upload the code but again it could also be an issue from my side.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I am solving C++ Questions to improve my coding. I realized that I am getting better at logical thinking as I keeping on doing coding on the platform.

  ### 5. Overall a pleasant experience and worthy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prathima K. | Global Ambassador, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

The things that fascinated me was gaining knowledge and improving it by implementing practically. Other thing which standouts is take up skill assessment test and showcase our level of proficiency to the fellow peers and employers. Hacker Rank is definitely one of the best and most valued platform to grow in career professionally.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

At times, coding doesn't compile correctly. That's the minor flaw I've noticed. Other than this, I'm more likely to say this to be a wonderful platform to develop your coding skills.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Use this platform in right way and this would make you grow exponentially in your career.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me to analyze the coding problems, structure the code and put up my thinking into compling my program into an efficient way.

  ### 6. Wonderful and very useful platform for the users from beginners to pro-coders.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kumbar S. | Campus Lead: Scaler Achiever Club, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

The interface. For every coder or the ones that are trying to get into coding, this is the best platform to start with. All the self-curated programs are with neat and well-explained logic for the beginners. I can also use it as the compiler for various programs. At times, I recommend people to open up the hackerrank compiler while using it on other's computers. The other thing about hackerrank that I like is we can organize hackerrank contests easily with friends and also for a small group of people, we use the library programs in the test, and its a hassle free process to do the background work.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

To be honest Nothing, I almost like everything. But sometimes, there are few server problems. I guess it's ok.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Have confidence, it is one of the best platforms to learn to code.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has a wide range of problems from basic math programs to complex problem-solving programs. Since the time I started using hackerrank, it helped me solve in an organized way which in turn built my confidence and interest in coding. Talking about the organized way of learning, the platform has the codes curated in a way that is in an optimized manner and I feel it's the best way to learn.

  ### 7. Best place to improve your coding skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Almas B. | Cloud Engineer DevOps (TL), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I love HackerRank, its best platform to practice and improve skills in programming/scripting. I used it for a couple of years already and it really helped me with my python scripting. Hacker Rank is a great way to practice trivia. You can learn a lot by doing things, but good at Hackerrank good at programming. It's good for filling in gaps in your knowledge and making you think.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I don't dislike it at all, but it would be nice to have much more coding challenges(python). I wish they had more tutorials with better quality, so I don't have to go to some other sites. If they will be able to improve that part then most of their users can learn and practice in one place.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

If you are looking for a place to improve your coding/scripting skills it's the right place to go. I highly recommend HackerRank for students and the IT field workers. It has a lot of good problems and solutions which will help you to get better in your field. Try to solve all problems yourself but you are really stuck then there are always solutions of a thousand other users. It has a good interview screening exams also, which will help to check your candidate's coding/scripting skills. Recently most employers started doing an assessment of candidates' skills using these types of platforms, so it's becoming a very important part of the interview preparation.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to not forget the scripting skills I have. I solve problems there when I feel that I need some practice in scripting. employers can use it to assess their candidates. It's mostly for demonstrating your skills by solving problems though, it's not really set up to teach new concepts. But they do have some tutorials and you can learn from looking at solutions. Programming isn't all about solving these little challenges.

  ### 8. Bite-Sized, Actionable Programming Practice Materials

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jensen O. | Client Services Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I've taken several programming classes, which teach fundamentals and offer plenty of knowledge to memorize — however, there's no substitute for practicing building small programs to solve challenges and problems. Hackerrank has been a great supplement for more formal learning, as they have a constant stream of exercises and challenges on which to test new skills.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I don't have any critiques — I've only used the platform for the practice problems, which are great. No comment on the career or other services.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've gained more practical knowledge of programming through the many exercises after having taken courses elsewhere.

  ### 9. Lots of exercises that are usually well rated by difficulty

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Z. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

It's got a whole lot of good "homework problems" as I like to call them. Usually there's some known algorithm that solves them and they're good practice. They also offer some certifications for problem solving, languages, frameworks/tools, etc.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Sometimes the descriptions of what they are looking for are bad, but usually the "discussion" tab has clarifications or helpful tips if you're stuck.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I started using it as a means to practice for coding interviews. Often times, the problems they ask you to solve have nothing to do with the actual work, but are "homework problems" (my term). They always seem to me like the algorithm came first, and then they created a problem to fit the solution. So doing a bunch of these is helpful for that. I'm not sure that it would help improve your problem solving skills generally though.

  ### 10. Shape my coding skill with Hackerrank 30 Days of Code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iwan H. | I am still waiting to land for a job in turing.com (still waiting to be onboarding)., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

Hackerrank offers quality programming challenges to get a certification. I really felt challenged and proud to be able to solve them.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

30 Days of Code practice problems are excellent, but they need to update the problems to meet current Go lang specification, such as Go lang has generics too. However, Day 21 don't provide generics code options for Go languange.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I practice a lot in 30 Days of Code problems including Recursion, Linked List, count Binary Trees depth using Breath First Search algorithm and also managed to solved anagrams challange to get Basic Problem Solving Certificate.

  ### 11. Developer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aishwarya S. | Java Intern

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

Understanding concepts like DSA and aslo able to use it to improve skills.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I dont find disadvantages for now atleast as i havent used much

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DSA

  ### 12. The platform worked without any issues and it was easy to do my coding challenges on this platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

The platform was fast: I did not have to wait too long when I submitted a solution. It was also fairly easy enough to see which tests were failing and respond accordingly. The instructions were also clear, no confusion there. There was no particular issues that I could notice when I attempted my coding challenges.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I do not feel like the questions represent skills that are needed in the workforce. It would be nice to see questions that are less about competitive programming and more about tasks that are required at work everyday. For example, questions about working with APIs for backend roles, or working with some particular frameworks for specialized roles. Also, it would be nice if there was an easier way to add custom test cases, I feel like the current way is quite clunky sometimes in terms of formatting required to add test cases.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Follow the instructions and you will have no issues whatsoever with the platform.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually use HackerRank as a platform for coding challenges. However, the existing challenges serve as a good way to practice before doing them.

  ### 13. A Gym that Enables Developers to Train their Mind Muscles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason Aaron G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I really like their programming challenges. I come to the website often to solve at least 1 challenge before I end my visit. It helps to keep your mind sharp.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

I have not really encountered anything with regards to elements that I dislike about HackerRank. I suppose 1 improvement could be an overall dark mode/theme that is toggleable (the keyword is "overall", since their already have dark mode for their code editor).

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HackerRank enables programmers to train their programming skills which is the benefit in and of itself. To put simply, the essential benefit out of using the website is you become a better programmer. The platform solves the problem of a programmer potentially transitioning into a stale state of mind - it challenges your mind to reach its full potential.

  ### 14. Amazing Platform to practice coding.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditi A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

The variety of coding questions available. Additionally, it has a practice platform for many of our programming skills. Moreover, the newly added feature of getting certified based on our various skills makes the platform even more fascinating and engaging.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Nothing really. It could be better though if it recommended problem questions with company tags, as to which company has asked these questions and so on. Also, it would be better had it been incorporated with some learning material, and some more frequent coding contests.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been solving questions on Java, Python, Problem Solving and more. It has helped me in recognizing my areas of weakness to be able to work on them, while also making me practice and get accustomed with newer concepts that I wasn't previously aware of.

  ### 15. A (Good) Archive for Developers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehmet Arda A. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

Questions are challenging and drive developers to think outside of the box. It is possible to learn a new data structure and/or algorithm for the best solution of every problem if you are a junior developer.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Whole website feels... dead. Most of the comments in discussions are 6 years old and new contests does not appear frequently as they used to be.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sharped my coding skills greatly with this platform, it is a great source for technical interviews.

  ### 16. Perfect Platform For Improvement

Once you have the knowledge then you have Hacker Rank to keep it sharp.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Noting in general, but if given a little bit more on other users and social interactions would have been perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Just utilize the maximum of all the contents available at HackerRank, in the current market , getting these kinds of services comes at a price.
It will also help you showcase your skills among others, if you utilize it to the maximum you can have a great career kickstart.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am basically utilizing Hacker Rank to keep on improving my competitive coding skills.
And I have realized is that there is plenty of need for improvement from my side.

  ### 17. Challenging problems that will boost your skills and knowledge.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

They give certification for skills and challenging problems that help me train not just the programming language but also my problem-solving skills.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Lacks certification for more advanced stuff (e.g. Python Advanced Certification).

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm focusing on Python, SQL, and Rest API-related problems. The main benefit of solving these problems is to be more familiar with the language syntax, and properties.

  ### 18. Best site out there for coding!!!

I think the community portion could be updated little bit. Maybe adding some filters to sort out helpful discussions.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am brushing up my skills on data structures and algorithms with the latest hot topics in the industry which is greatly helped by HackerRank

  ### 20. help me to move forward

thinking on the correct way for how to figure out about problems and how to solve them.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

unclear documentation for new users. major of my friends dislike and discontinued use it because found it hard to explain how to solve the code problems.
I am personally found the same problem with SQL train-path.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Do it, maybe in first found it hard, but really it so funny and helpful for your mind and your thinkings.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

lifesaver of many cases has not come inAir. from void. hackerRank gives me and teach me alongside with codinGames, how to think in problem, and the closest ways to solve it. For example, high computations problems of Graph Theory become now easy for me.

There are tons of things I like about Hackerrank like its auto code completion feature while practicing some questions. Navigate between different questions is very easy. Amazing questions which surely improve your problem solving skills. Beautiful UI with best responsiveness is just like toppings on the cake.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

The thing I dislike is some questions in some company challenge are repeated so it is easy for anyone to google them and get the solution. Overall the experience is amazing with the website.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

I highly recommend Hackerrank to other coders in the world as here you can find plenty of questions to practice from with best online code editor. it's tutorial is just amazing to get full understanding of each topic in detail. At Hackerrank you can improve your competitive programming skills effectively.

  ### 22. A platform where learning feels rewarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Durgansh T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I liked almost everything about the platform. It has great tutorials, focused test problems that test aspects of your programming knowledge and helps you build your skills one piece at a time and it never felt overwhelming. HackerRank also has a great community of people who will help you out if you ever get stuck somewhere. It also has a leader board, which helps you track your progress with respect to other programmers and feels very rewarding. And all of your hard work can be seen by people looking to hire someone. You can also get certified by giving small 1.5 hour test which should be a breeze if you know what you're doing and all of this is for free, the only investment that you need to make is with your time and not your wallet.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Only the fact that there need to be more certifications. I feel that there can be more fields to certify in and it may be implemented in the future.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a free to learn platform where I can hone my skills as a programmer. I am solving problems in new languages as well as old ones.

  ### 23. It has been a great place for me to hone my programming and analytical skills.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pronoy M. | Student Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I really like the idea of the new certifications programme in Hackerrank. Even the current set of skills being targeted by the programme is great and expansive. The number of learning tracks are large in number and cover mostly all domains in standard competitive programming.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

There are a number of features that need to be rectified OR some very specific enhancements should be done:
 - If a problem statement needs to be rectified and a concerned edit is suggested, the edit is never reviewed or it takes a long time to do so. For e.g. a problem edit which I gave about two months ago is still pending.

- Complete dark mode should be there to ease the strain on eyes

- There should be more ways to spend Hackos earned as opposed to only spending them on test cases

- A problem/contest creator should not be awarded Hackos for solving his/her own problems in/during a contest

- Expansive features available to companies and recruiters should be made available to standard users as well (this could w.r.t the ranking of the users. For e.g. someone ranked only 3000 and better can get to use XYZ feature available to only a company or recruiter)

- More expansive editorials with proper diagramming and progressive approach

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I am using Hackerrank to improvise my coding skills across a variety of programming domains. Occasionally, I also get a chance to become a contest creator and implement my own problems in the environment provided by Hackerrank. The new certifications programme has been beneficial to understand how would I perform in a timed test.

Hacker rank helps new CS students to learn how competitive programming works. It helps in learning through programming assignments and very good live competitions.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Answers for language proficiency are available through google search. So anyone can simply copy and paste them.
Python IDE is irritating sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Add more live competitions.

As a new CS student I learned python, C language ,JS with the help of hacker rank.

  ### 26. In the last 4 years, HackerRank was my go to solution to practice Algorithms and Data Structures.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilyas B. | Enseignant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

Most similare plateforms try to make the problem statement convoluted rather than think of making a clearly stated problem with a difficult solution. In HackerRank, I realy like that the problems are clearly explained and put in a practical context. The key to the solution can be any where between, the structure of the input, the nature of the output or simply how to combine multiple data structures / algorithms to get a single solution.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

In a few instances, Machine Learning problems didnt not work correctly though the solution is correct. This happend in a handful of occasions though.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

HackerRank is a great plateform for learning technical skills as well as convenient way for enterprises to seach for potential recruits.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Language proficiency (python, java, c++, c, scala), algorithms, data structures, machine learning and statistics, Unix commands, regex. I like that the problems difficult enough to make me think about the solution in multiple ways. The problems are also put in practical frame as stated before. I like especially python, algorithms and data structures tracks.

  ### 27. It almost gave me the real interview experience.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vignesh J. | Android Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

It was challenged sometimes with a lot of hidden test cases. and I liked it most because challenges are accepted.
Since the Hackerrank is the first platform to be used in my life to practice coding, It plays a big role in my preparation towards the coding interview.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Some set of problems are uninteresting and less challenged are dislikeable. and platform like leetcode provides the optimal solution for the problems, such that after solving a problem by ourself , then we can compare our optimality with the best case optimalities. Then the leaning happens.
But every other features are great in hackerrank. It is the best.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

Hey buddy! You are at the right place to practice coding from a very beginner to a hardcore coder. Please be patient while you get struggled at a problem. Just tell yourself everything takes time and be self-Motivated. you can crack it. All the best!

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to solve the random set of problem in HackerRank and they made me more confident in problem-solving.

  ### 28. HackerRank used to be great, it's still OK

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam A. | Sr Analyst/Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about HackerRank for Developers?**

I use HackerRank as a developer and it is is a pretty good place to go practice if your learning a new language or to refresh your memory on aspects of algorithms you may not have used in while. The certification tests they provide are pretty neat and unique, I have mine displayed on my LinkedIn profile. I like that each problem has it's own dedicated discussion forum where people can discuss and ask questions.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

The support for newer languages like Go and Kotlin are seriously lacking, and I use other sites to practice with these languages. They no longer seem to do coding competitions, which was the funnest part of the site in my opinion. Since they stopped competitions I hardly use HackerRank and spend most of my time coding on platforms like CodinGame.

In the discussion forums people seem to be encouraged to post their solutions, which kind of defeats the purpose. These discussion forums are the only place to interact with other users of the platform, so it's not so much of community, at least not like other similar sites where you really get to know other users.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerRank for Developers:**

If you are a developer that already has a job you like and you are simply looking for a place to practice or compete, look around on the internet, there are pretty great options out there. HackerRank used to be one of the best but their focus seems to have shifted away from the developer experience.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't solve problems with HackerRank. I have learned some things about AI on HackerRank, but mostly it is a place I go to refresh my brain on algorithms.

  ### 29. Well, my experience with HackerRank was just amazing to be honest.

Well, there is nothing to dislike about HackerRank honestly, but if I had to mention one thing, I would like them to add something like code wars, where we can compete with an opponent in realtime.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Actually, when I began using HackerRank, it was just for learning self-learning. Later when I got a hang of it, I started doing competitive coding. HackerRank really helped to boost my confidence in coding.

Sometimes the we can see the forums are not provide essential support for the beginners through HackerRank even though it has lots of good coders. The best thing I like about Hackerrank is the community itself. The discussions improve one's skills effectively. The tutorials provided are shaped as though one is going from Zero to Mastery. Problem Statements are designed with utmost care and precision.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

Lack of interview questions is the only thing I resent and that sets it apart from the LeetCode platform. Further, the topics need further fine-tuning, such as include more problems that various MNCs ask in their interview sessions. Host competitions for a specific communities of users.

**What problems is HackerRank for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am mainly solving Algorithmic questions and problems based on Data Structures. I am also solving programming challenges on the specific programming language (i.e Java, C, C++, Python). Using this platform for over 3 months to analyze and sharpen my programming skills, I have gained from it in terms of solving questions in interviews and different platforms, also in interviews.

The categories of topics such as algorithm, Data Structure, General programming.
The new certificate option.

The diversity in the questions.

**What do you dislike about HackerRank for Developers?**

some of the questions have problems. For example the question is really vague and misleading, the tag is not compatible with the questions, for example a medium or hard question is tagged as easy.
It would be really good to give the user to answer the question in a timmed manner (such as interview) or unlimited time (for the sake of practice and learning only)

Provide the user with tips on what is the topics of the question and sources with contents that they need to master and learn in order to tackle similar questions!
