**What do you like best about Guidejar?**

I like how Guidejar makes it really easy to capture workflows and turn them into clear and shareable documentation. It helps me save time by turning complex processes into simple step-by-step guides, reducing confusion, and making it easier for others to follow instructions. The automatic capture feature is great because it saves me from manually documenting every step and records the process as I go. I find the clean presentation helps make guides easy to understand and professional looking, which is especially helpful when sharing with either customers or teammates. Also, the ability to quickly edit and share guides makes it really practical for both internal use and customer-facing content. It's straightforward to set up and the intuitive interface allows our team to start creating guides almost immediately without much training.

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

There is still room for improvement in terms of advanced customization and editing flexibility. Adding more control over formatting or design would make the guides even more tailored for specific needs.

**What do you like best about Guidejar?**

I love how customizable and easy to use GuideJar is. The support and development team moves incredibly fast. I’ve shared a few “it would be nice if it could do this” ideas, and in some cases they’ve added the functionality within a couple of weeks. They’re responsive and quick to squash bugs.

We originally came in looking for an alternative to Scribe, which we had been using. At this point, GuideJar does everything Scribe could do and more, and the Enterprise pricing isn’t even close. Scribe was quoting us nearly $50,000 for the same level of functionality that GuideJar provides for under $5,000.

Unlike Scribe, GuideJar is constantly improving and shipping updates. The step editor is a Markdown/WYSIWYG hybrid, which as an IT person I really appreciate. It’s fast to work in, and I can put together a clean, professional step-by-step guide in no time.

I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about GuideJar at this point. Any small critiques I had early on were addressed so quickly that they’re not even relevant anymore.

One thing that really sets GuideJar apart from most of the competition is that it doesn’t force you into a single way of building guides. A lot of similar tools are heavily focused on browser extensions or desktop apps where you just “click, click, click” through a process and it auto-generates a guide. That works for some people, but I’ve always preferred a more hands-on approach—taking my own screenshots, editing them, and writing steps myself.

GuideJar makes both approaches easy. You can use the capture-based workflow if you want, or you can build guides manually with your own screenshots and written steps, all presented in a clean, easy-to-follow format.

There are also a couple of AI integrations I haven’t really dug into yet that seem like they’d allow something like ChatGPT to reference your GuideJar knowledge base. The main integration I have implemented is SSO, which was straightforward to set up with their support team and has been working perfectly for our organization.

There’s also a lot of functionality I haven’t fully explored yet that looks promising, like walkthroughs and Articles, which adds even more potential as we continue rolling it out.

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

I genuinely can't think of any negatives to GuideJar currently.

We are now able to create uniform, easy to follow guides for our users that we can whip up in a very short amount of time.

**What do you like best about Guidejar?**

To be honest I was amazed by all the customization available, I checked different similar 'step-by-step' builders, but not of the offered half the customization as GuideJar, specially on the configuration post-recording, as you can select specific view for your: 'Step-by-step guide' and at the same time, change the look on the 'Interactive walkthrough' options, finally, the exporting options were amazing, the ability to just 'copy and paste' the guide with the steps and images into a Doc or Word document was amazing.

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

I was not so happy to find out I had less credits than expected, it would be better to warn of any actions that could waste credits before committing, for now, any QA generation does not provide with this warning like when you want to 'voice-over', in this last action, it does show how many current credits are going to be used for using this functionality previous to executing.

**What problems is Guidejar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The process for documenting a workflow was at least 80% reduced comparing to my normal manual process, so definitely the 'time-saving' would be the main solving for this tool usage.

I have not had any major issues so far. If anything, I would love even more organization options as my SOP library keeps growing, but what is there already works well.

I am reducing training time and improving consistency. My team can follow SOPs with fewer questions, and I can update one guide instead of rewriting instructions repeatedly.

**What do you like best about Guidejar?**

We've long been searching for a better solution for individual customer inquiries. Previously, we relied on videos, but the downside was obvious: customers constantly had to rewind and fast-forward to follow along at their own pace. This was neither efficient nor truly customer-friendly. We wanted a more intuitive, flexible alternative.

After testing Scribehow, which didn't entirely dissatisfy us but lacked the necessary customization options, we discovered Guidejar – and were immediately convinced! Since we started using Guidejar, we've been creating interactive guides that our customers love and can work through at their own pace. The positive feedback has been overwhelming: numerous customers have already told us how helpful and excellent our guides are.

With Guidejar, we can not only efficiently record and edit guides, but also share them with our customers in our own brand identity. The Help Center is the absolute icing on the cake of the software. Here, we can organize our guides clearly and share them specifically with customers. Whether it's public guides for everyone or private guides for specific customer requests – Guidejar makes both effortlessly possible.

Another highlight is the latest update, which enables webcam recording. Now, we can integrate personal explanations into our interactive guides and provide a genuine "personal touch."

For us, Guidejar is the absolute go-to solution for guides and help desks. It has fundamentally improved our customer communication, and we wholeheartedly recommend it!

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

Honestly, there's nothing I genuinely dislike about Guidejar right now. We use it extensively, and it's an incredibly powerful tool. While it's largely fantastic, there are a couple of minor areas for potential optimization, but these are truly minor quibbles.

One small area is the automatic favicon detection. It doesn't always work perfectly, and sometimes the resolution of the favicons isn't as high as in other tools like Scribehow, where it's a bit more stable. However, even when Guidejar doesn't find a favicon automatically, we can easily add it manually via a link, so it's not a major roadblock.

A really cool feature for the future would be the automatic blurring of sensitive information like email addresses, names, or phone numbers. Currently, we have to manually blur these in each screenshot, which can be a bit time-consuming. Automating this would make the process even smoother.

But again, these are very minor points. Overall, Guidejar is an outstanding solution, and we're incredibly happy with it.

**What problems is Guidejar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidejar is solving a core problem for us: the inefficiency and limited effectiveness of traditional video-based customer instructions.

Here's how Guidejar is directly benefiting us by solving this issue:

1. Guidejar allows us to create interactive guides that customers can navigate at their own speed. This has been a game-changer, as evidenced by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we've received. Our customers love the flexibility and ease of use, which translates to a much better experience for them.

2.We can now efficiently record, edit, and share instructions in a format that's genuinely effective. The interactive nature means customers absorb information more clearly, reducing the need for repetitive support inquiries.

3.The Help Center feature provides a centralized and organized hub for all our guides. This means we can easily manage and share both public-facing content and private, customer-specific instructions, all within one platform. This organization saves us time and ensures consistent information delivery.

Easy to use, super fast and a development team that really listen to users. Covers both basic needs (for newbies) and technical needs (for more advanced and skilled users). Everything can be exported so you are not "kidnapped" in a system.

AI part could be a little bit enhanced, perhaps also with MCP connections to external tools.

I appreciate how Guidejar significantly reduces my time building instructions for clients, transforming a once tedious process into an efficient workflow. I love its straightforward setup, the click-by-click recording feature, and the ability to organize and edit slides quickly. The option for custom branding on instructions is also fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

I would like the ability to edit while recording, such as switching the order of slides and adding notes during the recording process. Also, having a timed capture feature would be beneficial, as it can be challenging to click and capture the screen simultaneously.

Guidejar reduces the time spent building instructions by simplifying slide organization and adding annotations with custom branding, eliminating the manual screen capture and annotation process.

GuideJar is extremely easy to use once you get familiar with it, and editing and creating guides is now super-easy and efficient.

When i first got it there were some quirks, but the team are highly responsive and fixed things very quickly.

GuideJar helps me create guides en-masse that are very informative. It is flexible, efficient and easy to use. I was previously considering creating time consuming screencasts. I would consider it as one of my top 3 apps I use regularly.

I have several team members where English is not their first language, I also have some who are not overly comfortable recording videos for clients. Guidejar enables those team members to share simple custom guides for our customers without the need to do a voice-over for a video. The customer support is also excellent!

There could be more optionality around the embedding capability, in terms of customising the look and feel.

The add AI credits feature for Appsumo Life Time purchasers. There should be a minmum about of credit each month and a pay for more if you want more credits.

It’s super easy to dive right in and start building guides without needing any fancy editing skills or technical setup.
One of my favorite things is the customization options, helping us keep everything looking on-brand, which is a big win. 
Plus, the support team (and the founrder) is quick to jump in if we need any help.

There’s a little bit of lag sometimes when building detailed guides, but, it hasn’t been a major issue.

If I *had* to find a downside to GuideJar, it's that it's almost TOO easy to get carried away with creating super detailed guides. Sometimes I need to rein myself in and remember to keep things concise!

Displaying the evidence interactively, as well as the possibility of downloading it in video format, and the ability to customize the evidence to suit my needs.

I would record evidence in my own voice, and there is no privacy for team members. There is also a delay in support in responding to inquiries

The ease with which we can quickly create step by step guides and interactive videos is highly commendable!

**What do you dislike about Guidejar?**

Tool uses credits per character for using AI features. If making the same changes again in the same video, it uses the same credits again. This should not happen and can be rectified in future.

It helps me to quickly create training guides and how to videos and implement them in my existing systems quite conveniently.
