I have had horrible experiences. **What do you dislike about Groupon?** I purchased a groupon 2 months prior to being able to use it for a horse and carriage ride when I took my mom on a trip to New York. We followed all the rules and made an appointment. When we arrived they weren't there and wanted me to come back a few hours later, which wasn't possible due to our tight itineary, so we paid DOUBLE for a different ride and then I tried to get my money back. Groupon has this absolutely RIDICULOUS policy that it's only refunded after three days! Well it was 2 months later because I'm a planner and now I'm out the money and have to spend it with you because your policy is THREE DAYS. WHO USES ALL THEIR GROUPONS IN THREE DAYS!? I discovered groupon 10 years ago, when it was virtually unknown where I lived. I have since used it to get to know- and test/compare- offers in my area for a reduced price, budget for food whilst traveling, as well as discover and try new activities and services fairly risk-free. Groupon sites exist for many countries, the UK, the US and so on. When I travel to a new country that has groupon, I first check out activities that I dont know as yet, or look for reduced movie tickets, when I have a bit of spare time. I also buy restaurant coupons. A failry new feature, at least for me, are the coupons- generic reductions on sites like viator for new clients. Also an exellent feature, and I will soon have my first viator tour 30% reduced thanks to groupon! Since I am also a Local Guide on Google Maps, and occasionally make youtube videos, groupon has also allowed me to discover things that do not exist in my country, and cover them. They have recently also made the "give back" feature a lot smoother.Exchanging or cancelling groupon vouchers used to be more difficult, now you just cancel and it credits your account with the value. Summarizing: I love Groupon! **What do you dislike about Groupon?** They have recently improved many features that were not so consumer friendly, like the option to credit and cancel an already purchased coupon, so nothing comes to mind really. If you are unsure of what you are looking for or not looking for something specific at first, it also has a lot of suggestions. It is easy to search by name, type or category and there are lots of different results for each. Groupon includes a link to the business website if you want to get more information before deciding to purchase. There are also reviews by others who have used the product/service which gives you information from others before deciding what to buy or where to go. It is very easy to use and I love that it includes pictures. If you search a business that does not yet have a groupon offer, there is a button you can click to suggest they get one. **What do you dislike about Groupon?** The only downside I see is that you can end up spending more money than you planned to. **What problems is Groupon solving and how is that benefiting you?** They help me when I need to find a new place to take a customer to lunch and help me save money while doing it. It is quick and easy to use and if I have forgotten to check in advance, I can do it quickly from my phone using the app and get the discount almost instantly. The site interface is easy to use and features an intuitive experience for users.
