"Essential Tool for Academic Writers"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

I find Grammarly to be extremely useful for academic writing, especially in detecting mistakes in grammar and suggesting ways to improve sentence structure. Its real-time corrections instantly enhance my writing, saving time on manual proofreading. The plagiarism detection tool is a unique and valuable feature for ensuring content is unique, and the tone analyzer helps maintain an academic tone in lengthy papers. I also appreciate how easily Grammarly integrates into browsers, making it convenient to use across different platforms. Installing the browser extension and the Microsoft Word add-in was simple, and it started working instantly, which was great for me as a student. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

The free version of Grammarly does not provide many options for users, since most of its features are included in the paid package including the plagiarism checker. It often misunderstands technical terms in the academic domain. Apart from that, it tends to over edit certain writing styles. The cost of Grammarly's premium version seems to be high for students who have little money; an economical version would assist many people. Some number of times plagiarism testing must be added in the free version. Also, Grammarly can give more ideas regarding citation styles such as APA and MLA. What do you like best about Grammarly?

I really like how Grammarly catches things I don’t notice on the first pass especially tone issues and small grammar mistakes that make a big difference. The real‑time suggestions help me write faster and feel more confident before sending anything out. I also appreciate the clarity rewrites because they make long sentences sound smoother and more professional without changing my meaning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

I dislike that Grammarly can sometimes be overly strict or suggest changes that make my writing sound less natural. Every now and then it flags things that aren’t actually errors, which slows me down because I have to double‑check them. Some of the more advanced features also feel locked behind the paid version, so the free version can feel limited when I’m trying to do more detailed editing. "Fast, Helpful Proofreading—With an Annoying Premium Popup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

I use Grammarly for emails, work order notes, and messages to coworkers. It makes it easy to catch mistakes and typos I might otherwise miss while I’m trying to be efficient and on time. I love its suggestions for what to say and how to phrase things, in addition to catching spelling and punctuation errors. Autocorrect is the tool I use most since I type all day, and setup took no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

I find the small pop-up with the G icon on my screen can be very annoying at times when it tries to get me to subscribe to the Premium plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick support for spelling, grammar and tone"
4/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

What I like most about Grammarly is that it helps me improve my writing quickly, not just check spelling.

It uses AI features to suggest better wording, fix grammar, adjust tone, and create clearer sentence structure. This makes it easier for me to write emails, documents, assessment answers, and other work more professionally.

I also like that it offers suggestions as I’m writing, so I can correct mistakes, clarify the wording, and improve the overall flow without having to start over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Too generic — answers often feel templated and surface‑level.

Too neutral — avoids taking a stance or challenging the user.

Weak context retention — doesn’t adapt deeply to your goals, style, or sector.

Soft writing style — passive voice, vague achievements, low executive polish.

Overly cautious — avoids strong synthesis, prioritisation, or strategic framing.

Inconsistent memory — doesn’t maintain your preferences or application strategy.

Occasional over‑promising — implies capabilities it can’t deliver reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grammarly Elevates Professional Writing with Accurate, One-Click Suggestions"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

Grammarly has significantly improved the quality of my written communication at work. The real-time grammar and spelling suggestions are accurate and easy to apply with a single click

What I find most useful is the tone detection feature which helps me ensure my emails and messages come across as professional and clear.

The browser extension works seamlessly across platforms like Gmail, LinkedIn, Slack, and Google Docs without any additional setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

The free version is quite limited and most of the advanced features like tone suggestions, clarity improvements, and plagiarism checker are only available in the premium plan.

Sometimes the suggestions can be overly aggressive and change the intended meaning of a sentence, so you need to review each suggestion carefully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grammarly Makes Professional Writing Easier and More Effective"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

What I like most about Grammarly is how it improves the clarity and professionalism of my writing in real time. It helps me catch grammar mistakes, refine sentence structure, and choose better words as I write emails, documentation, and messages. The suggestions are clear and easy to follow, and they save me a lot of time when proofreading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

One thing I dislike about Grammarly is that some of the more advanced suggestions are locked behind the premium version. From time to time, it also offers edits that can slightly shift the original tone or meaning of a sentence, so I still need to review the changes manually before accepting them. "Developers write more than people think, this quietly fixes a lot of it"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

Most of my writing happens in places don't expect, pull request descriptiosns, Slack messages to client documentation email explaining by something broke. None of that is code but all of it matters, grammarly sitting in the background catching things before they go out has saved me from sending embarrassing messages more than once. Browser extension just works, Gmail, Notion, Linear, Wherever I'm typing it shows up without any setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

The AI rewrite suggestions sometimes strip out personality entirely. the corrected version is grammatically cleaner but sounds like it was written by nobody in particular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Proofreading with Intuitive Browser Extension"
4/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

I use Grammarly mainly for light proofreading in my writing job. Grammarly is a great help in spotting little errors like missed commas or misspellings that I might overlook, especially when I'm writing all day and feeling mentally taxed. I love its ease of use and the practicality of the Grammarly browser extension, which allows me to correct errors across different sites like Google Docs or even when I’m on freelance sites applying for work. Setting it up was super easy, practically zero setup involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

The site version can get confusing, especially as I've noticed that the focus is more on AI generation now and less on correction. I also realized that the explanations for certain corrections are completely irrelevant or unhelpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Effective Tool for Polished Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Grammarly?

I love using Grammarly for correcting my typing mistakes, including grammar, articles, syntax, and word construction. It helps me tweak the sound and connotation of my writing to achieve a high level of good English sentence construction and communicates my message effectively. When I want my message to come across as ambitious or confident, Grammarly assists me in achieving that. I particularly like the keyboard interface of Grammarly; it's well-designed with one-touch button options and pop-ups that instantly provide solutions to my problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

For me, I would like Grammarly to give more offers about their monthly subscriptions and their yearly subscriptions. I've tried using the subscriptions several times, and it's a little bit difficult to always subscribe when you have a lot of expenses. So I would be very glad if there can be a sort of once in a while offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
