Even without an agent it could at least link logs. It is very useful for noticing possible problems in our systems very easily. I didn't use this yet but alerting I think is also that may help the engineers to be attentive to solve problems happening in production environments **What do you dislike about Google Stackdriver Error Reporting?** Sometimes is a little bit tricky to find specific logs, specially when you have multiple systems aggeragated into the same account, this can be surpassed by doing a proper labeling strategy but as I said is a little bit tricky if you don't use it properly.
