**What do you like best about Google AI Edge?**

The most helpful thing about Google AI Edge is that it lets me run multiple LLM models privately on my device, without my data being used for AI training. If you already have access tokens from participating providers, you can use your API key to access the LLM models available under that key, along with the Google Gemma models.

**What do you dislike about Google AI Edge?**

The biggest downside of Google AI Edge is how many device resources it takes to run. While benchmarking helps narrow the scope of what you can realistically use on the specific device you have, it’s still a high-resource application overall.

**What problems is Google AI Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google AI Edge addresses the otherwise limited availability of accessing Gemma and participating providers by using an API key for authentication on a phone. The app makes it possible to deploy and run Gemma models directly on the phone.

The requirements are high, since it needs a flagship device.
