I have not needed to worry that it's not working; even though there's a console that I can leave open, it is not needed in day-to-day use as the program runs as a background service. GoodSync support helped me through the first install, and it's been a breeze to maintain. It runs alongside my image backup software (EaseUS) and also Cove Data Protection (cloud backup from N-Able) on the same servers with no conflicts. This product can do almost everything and is easy to implement and use. I use it to run hot folders for sync to various locations, from the on-site server to the cloud. **What do you dislike about GoodSync?** So far, the only thing I would like to see in the product is that it runs as a service. The tool runs itself once any exceptions are setup and schedules set. One less thing to worry about in my busy day. **What do you dislike about GoodSync?** I wouldn't necessarily call it a downside, but it does seem to have an update available to install at least 1-2 times per week. Due to how old this environment is, there is no modern load balancing tool that allows us to manage the file distribution so we have to ensure the users are all accessing databases which are synced, no matter which old server their RDP session connects to. This is invaluable when working with projects that contain 1000s of files from package managers such as NPM. The installation and initial setup is easy. The ability to control when syncing will happen is great as I sometimes have different needs for different folders on my device. I use GoodSync daily in my job and it has become an invaluable tool. **What do you dislike about GoodSync?** In my 3 years of using GoodSync, so far I haven't encountered any major issues. When syncing large changes, it can often take long, but that isn't GoodSync's fault as I sync to a OneDrive cloud and I believe it has limits on how many requests can be made in a short amount of time. **What problems is GoodSync solving and how is that benefiting you?** GoodSync allows me to backup important coding projects, documentation and lesson plans. None of the client apps (onedrive, etc) will not filter and insist on copying everything up to the cloud which is incredible short sighted and a waste of bandwidth. ### 15. Everything we would dream about was here - checksum comparison, GUI that provides a lot of info, multi-stream copy and its price! Then, I used the tool working for another company, copying data from old Windows-based servers to the new one.
