I love how easy it is to set up GoodAccess, and the fact that it works smoothly on both Windows and Mac is a big plus. They provide simple tools to prioritize the network through the VPN, and impressively, it doesn't impact speed—I haven't noticed any performance degradation using the VPN daily. It's also cost-effective for startups, which is fantastic for us. What I don't like about GoodAccess is that new users may find the initial setup and configuration to be a little complicated. We needed a reliable static egress IP to send email from a Windows SMTP relay because our VPS blocks port 25. GoodAccess solved that in minutes: create a gateway, assign the static IP, connect the server, and we were able to deliver mail directly to external MXs. IP-whitelisting was straightforward, latency is stable, and the clients (Windows/macOS) are lightweight. The admin UI makes it easy to see who’s connected, enforce MFA, and segment traffic. I’d love to see three improvements:

(1) True policy-based routing (by app/port) so I can route only specific traffic without OS tweaks.

(2) Easier rDNS/PTR setup and deliverability guidance for static-IP email use.
