"Vyond’s Scene Builder Helped Us Expand from Still Photos to Polished Motion Assets"
5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

As Studio Operations & Client Relations Manager at Apex Commercial Photo Studio, I manage commercial photography client partnerships, photoshoot scheduling, freelance vendor coordination, and SaaS tool evaluation for our US-based commercial photo studio. Our lean 11–50-person team has no dedicated in-house IT staff, and Vyond’s robust character animation and scene builder is the standout tool that has expanded our service offering beyond static photography assets for brand clients.

Vyond’s drag-and-drop timeline and asset library saves me roughly six hours each week when creating short animated marketing supplements for our photography clients. Before adopting Vyond, our clients who wanted motion assets alongside their brand photos had to contract separate animation agencies, which created longer lead times, extra vendor management overhead, and inconsistent brand styling between still images and animated clips. Now our team can build custom animated explainer snippets, social media teasers, and website banner animations that match the color palette and brand tone of our photo deliverables. For a recent retail apparel client’s seasonal campaign, we shot commercial product photography and paired those images with a 45-second Vyond animation highlighting their new store opening. I imported our studio’s final product photos directly into Vyond’s scene canvas, added custom character movements and text callouts, and exported multiple aspect ratios for Instagram, website hero sections, and email marketing. This eliminated the need to onboard a third-party animator and kept all brand asset work within our project timeline.

I also rely heavily on Vyond’s reusable template library and asset locking features to maintain consistent brand guidelines across client projects. Once I build a base scene template for a brand, I can duplicate the project, swap out imagery, adjust copy, and retain the brand’s font, color scheme, and animation style. Our freelance retouchers can drop edited photography assets straight into these templates without learning complex animation software. When we supported a local restaurant’s rebrand campaign, we reused a previously built Vyond template for food service clients, swapped in our new food photography, and generated three distinct animated social clips in half the time required for a fully custom build. The platform’s version history also lets us roll back edits if a client requests a style change, removing the risk of permanently overwriting project files.

An unexpected benefit I’ve discovered is using Vyond to create internal training animations for our freelance photographers and retouchers. Instead of writing lengthy text briefs or hosting long video calls to walk through studio workflows and client brand requirements, I build short animated clips showing shoot setup protocols, asset naming conventions, and client feedback processes. These concise animated guides cut down repeated onboarding questions from new freelance vendors and keep our project handoffs streamlined during busy shoot seasons.

For our lean commercial photography team without dedicated IT or animation specialists, Vyond bridges the gap between static photo deliverables and motion content. It lets us add animated assets to client packages without hiring full-time animators, cuts external vendor coordination work, and maintains consistent brand styling across still and moving creative assets. This expanded service capability helps us meet tight client production deadlines and create more value for our commercial brand clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

As Studio Operations & Client Relations Manager at Apex Commercial Photo Studio, I oversee commercial photography client partnerships, photoshoot scheduling, freelance vendor coordination, and SaaS tool evaluation for our US photo studio. Our lean 11–50-person team has no dedicated IT staff, and even though Vyond lets us build short animated add-ons for our brand clients, its poor handling of high-resolution photography assets, limited native audio editing, and expensive credit-based export system create consistent bottlenecks during tight production deadlines.

The biggest frustration is Vyond’s compression algorithm that degrades our high-res commercial photos after upload. Our studio delivers large, sharp product images shot for retail and food brands, and when importing these files into Vyond, the platform automatically downsamples the imagery, softening fine textures, color gradients, and product details. When we built a promotional animation for a luxury skincare client, I imported our retouched product photos directly into the scene, only to discover the exported video washed out subtle packaging textures and muted the brand’s carefully calibrated color palette. I spent nearly six hours exporting scaled-down copies of every photograph, testing different resolution presets, and re-uploading assets repeatedly to reduce compression artifacts. Even with manual pre-processing, the final animation still required extra color correction work in separate video software, adding unexpected steps to our asset delivery workflow.

Vyond’s built-in audio editing controls are also extremely limited, forcing us to rely on external software for voiceover and sound design. Inside the platform, users can only trim audio clips and adjust global volume levels; there are no tools to reduce background noise, layer multiple sound effects, or fine-tune audio fades at precise timestamps. For a recent restaurant campaign animation, our client requested custom voiceover paired with subtle ambient dining sounds. I had to record, edit, and mix all audio in an external audio editor before importing the finished track into Vyond. Every small edit requested by the client meant reworking the audio file outside Vyond and re-uploading it, which added multiple rounds of revisions and delayed our final handoff date.

On top of that, Vyond uses a credit system for video exports, and every download consumes credits regardless of whether the file is a test draft or final client deliverable. Our small studio frequently creates multiple draft versions for client review, and repeated exports eat through our monthly credit allocation quickly. During a busy holiday campaign season, we burned through our credit allowance halfway through the month just sending draft animation previews to two retail clients, forcing us to purchase extra credits to generate the final approved files. This unpredictable cost structure makes project budgeting harder for our studio, where we quote fixed pricing for bundled photo and motion packages.

An unexpected pain point we found is the lack of robust version control for larger multi-scene projects. When multiple team members access the same Vyond project, there is no granular lock function for individual scenes. On one project, our freelance retoucher accidentally overwrote a completed scene while adjusting a separate segment, and we only had a limited auto-save backup to restore the original work, costing us several hours of rework.

For our lean commercial photography team without dedicated motion designers, Vyond’s heavy image compression, weak native audio tools, and credit-based export model add unplanned labor and variable costs to client motion deliverables. These limitations force us to maintain separate editing workflows for images and sound, draining time we need for photoshoot coordination and freelance vendor management while raising the risk of missed client production deadlines. "Vyond Makes Training and Newsletters Pop with Engaging Templates and AI Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

Vyond has a unique way of making ordinary content—like newsletters and training materials feel extraordinary. Short, engaging videos can make a big impact by delivering messages quickly and in a way that people are more likely to remember.

I believe audiences stay more engaged and pay closer attention because the content is concise, visually appealing, and easy to consume. Vyond offers a wide variety of templates, tools, music, and realistic voices, making it easy to create content that resonates with different audiences.

The AI-powered voices and image generation features are especially valuable, helping bring ideas to life when specific images or scenes aren’t readily available. I also love the monthly update videos showcasing new software features they’re short, informative, and always teach me something new. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

The processing time of new AI voices, can be time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vyond is the best piece of software I use for content creation"
5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

I have been using Vyond as an instructional designer for a number of years. In that time I have found a number of ways to use it to greatly enhance my materials. It's constant evolution via its enhancements and new features has enabled me, on numerous occasions, to keep my own content fresh and innovative.

Also, their support team is extremely efficient. I have never had to wait for a response or resolution to any problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

If I had to choose anything, I do find it a little frustrating to see announcements of new features or enhancements (such as new text-to-speech voices) that would seem to be part of my subscription package and then turn out to only be available at a higher subscription level. But I can understand the need to charge for new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use product"
5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

There are a few things about Vyond that I really love. First, once you set a backdrop for a video, you can save it as a template and reuse it next time. This is especially helpful when I’m creating videos that need to consistently reflect the brand.

Second, the fact that I can now provide a topic or a script and Vyond can create videos from it is really awesome.

Third, creating avatars using my own image, or designing something I’d love to have in an avatar, is simply amazing. Also, the text to video clip works amazingly.

Finally, the text-to-image feature works really well. I’m sure it will keep getting even better over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

1. Template Library (UI/UX): The pre-existing template inventory needs more regular curation and expansion. From a UI standpoint, discovering and filtering templates could also be more intuitive - a better tagging or categorization system would help users find relevant starting points faster.

2. Avatar Customization (UI/UX): The modern avatars feel noticeably limited compared to the traditional characters, particularly for attributes like lipstick colors, shoe styles, hairstyles, and body types. Greater parity in customization depth across both avatar styles would significantly improve the creative experience.

3. AI-Powered Video Generation (AI/Intelligence): The text-to-video feature is promising, but integrating a more advanced AI model would elevate the output quality considerably. I'd suggest improvements to scene interpretation and visual coherence - the potential here is clear, and I'm hopeful the team is already working on this.

4. AI Prompt Assistance (AI/Intelligence): A built-in AI prompt writer - one specifically trained on Vyond's generation capabilities, would be a genuine gamechanger. Helping users craft better prompts tailored to Vyond's video and text-to-scene features would lower the learning curve and improve output quality across the board. "Fast, Easy Character Customization for Unique Creations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

I love the speed that I can create something unique and how easy it is to customise characters. The auto generated captions are the best of any software I have used converting the audio quickly and accurately even with regional accents. I very rarely have to correct them. I also like that you can download the captions separately in several formats the .srt files work well with the LMS I upload the videos to. The wide library of background music is also brilliant to be able to create very professional results quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

Sometimes the time to render video can be a bit long, I’m usually too excited to share the videos I’ve just made and have to wait a short while to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vyond’s Intuitive All-in-One Platform Makes Video Creation Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

What I like most about Vyond is its user-friendly, intuitive interface. It’s very easy to learn and use, even if you’re completely new to it. I also appreciate being able to create many different types of videos within the same platform. It feels like having several powerful tools all in one place, which makes the overall content creation process more efficient, flexible, and smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

One thing I don't like about Vyond is that animals can't speak, whether they are animated or realistic. It would be great to have the option to make animal characters lip-sync and speak, as this would open up many more creative possibilities for storytelling and educational content. "Vyond’s Constant Improvements Make Creating Professional Videos Fast and Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

One of the best things about Vyond are the ongoing improvements. They are constantly adding features, creating more efficient ways to use the program and providing learning opportunities to use more of the features, stir up your creative juices or just find a better way of doing something. Add in that the AI voices sound more natural than so many of the other options out there, and you have a great tool for fast, easy and professional looking videos, no matter your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

With any software, there will always be the little things that drive you nutty; Vyond is not immune to this. The biggest challenge I face is trying to sort through the items I've uploaded to use and there's no quick way to bulk delete so I end up with thousands of uploads to work through to find the one I need...or I just upload it again and make the problem worse. "Vyond Turns Procedures into Practice"
5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

What I like best about Vyond is its ability to turn training into stories. Instead of simply presenting information, I can create realistic workplace scenarios that help team members see what great customer service or safe behaviors look like. It's flexible enough for everything from short communication videos to comprehensive training modules, allowing me to create engaging content without the time and expense of filming live video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

The biggest frustration for me is integrating characters with real-world photos. Since much of my training is based on actual store environments, getting the character perspective, movement, and positioning to look natural can be time-consuming. If Vyond could make that process more intuitive, it would dramatically improve my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Vyond for Fun, Engaging Videos"
4/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

Vyond is easy to use and it can create really interesting videos. It makes the learner experience fun and engaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

I find that some minor features make it difficult to use sometimes, like adding audio from different videos or viewing assets. The AI option is interesting but quite expensive in terms of credits and the results seem very basic for now, there isn't much creativity. Some voice over options aren't that great either and should be deleted in my opinion (Aarti for French for example, it is NOT at all accurate for French) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Content Delivery with Ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vyond?

I use Vyond for explaining in-house products and processes, and I love how it helps me deliver difficult content more effectively. I'm able to make short videos that cover key areas for users to digest quickly, which is a huge time saver. The text-to-video feature using AI is particularly valuable as it creates very specific videos that are bespoke to our company. This feature enables us to create microlearnings for broader groups of people globally in just a matter of hours, a task that would otherwise take days or weeks. Additionally, the initial setup of Vyond was extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vyond?

the current text limit for the text-to-video feature can be restrictive, particularly when creating detailed or in-depth content. Increasing the allowable text length would enable users to produce more comprehensive and informative videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
