Most of the time, I make use of the JSON API for split redirection based on geographical region and latency is always low. Our developers used IPAPI to build a currency detection feature in a few hours without any special support. Documentation is easy as well. **What do you dislike about Geoplugin?** The information within Management Console could have better presentation. The user interface looks a bit outdated in comparison to some of the other software’s UI. MC is fully operational, but the design would be such that the operations team can work more easily. **What problems is Geoplugin solving and how is that benefiting you?** To deliver localized pricing and media content based on the user’s origin, we needed a tool that provided different languages. The application will provide us information about the country and currency of a user. Geoplugin assisted us here. Using this plugin we can track the country same as currency of a user. We incorporate Geoplugin within our reporting tool as well as integrate it in an API feed. It means that we can pinpoint our sales lead to a very accurate geographic location. A lot of money: much more than their subscription costs. Be careful and avoid this company. While I used its currency confirm which one I like more than ip location service becuase it had too exact accurate data. Also api does not need any subscription for a minute visotors of 120 users. Also, wordpress's woocommerce recommends it to use from its admin. **What do you dislike about Geoplugin?** I used this in breakdown of ip-api but still it has limit of call. So after its limit it takes 130 seconds to load a single request. Don't know I also set maxrequest timeout but didn't resolve it. I support open source but this is not purely. **What problems is Geoplugin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Geoplugin is opensource and freeware software. But after its launch there was no change on its website.
