# Which privacy impact assessment platforms generate audit-ready documentation from completed assessment workflows?

DataGuard: Assessment work gets tracked and documented centrally, with reliable evidence for audits and internal reviews available at any time rather than assembled after the fact. Does the audit-readiness hold up when multiple frameworks need documentation at once, or does that still take manual cross-referencing?

caralegal: Inputs from business users flow directly into assessments and documentation without duplicate entry, and completed workflows leave behind a clear record that makes audit prep noticeably easier than chasing information across departments.

Ketch: Built-in PIA capabilities let a team assess risk proactively when launching new products, with the same platform handling data subject request documentation so the assessment and the response trail live in one place. Does that connection between assessment and response actually hold up during a real audit, or does it still take manual assembly?

For me, audit-ready means more than producing a polished report at the end. I’d want the exported record to preserve who answered each question, approvals, timestamps, evidence, risk decisions, remediation commitments, and any changes made after the initial assessment. If an auditor asks why a risk was accepted six months ago, the useful platform is the one that can reconstruct that decision trail without the privacy team searching email for context.
