It can support all the type of products. The upload feature is the best and you can create all the types of loaders including deleting the transactions. I had a client who had a very heavy volume of transactions and Geneva can handle the volume very well. Geneav has Java and Dotnet versions and both are good. Geneva can support the transactions in all the currencies and calculate the FX realized and unrealized gain/loss automatically. It can support various types of debt securities and calculate the interest and paydown. Supports all the type of derivatives and OTC products. You can delete the transactions in a single click and upload the thousands of transactions in seconds. **What do you dislike about Geneva?** I have heard that it is very costly software and they charge fees on your AUM. For Private equity where we do the user-proved allocations for investors, Geneva is not recommended. For Hedge Funds, it is the best software in the market. Also for some transactions, you may not be able to see the Debit/credit journal entry clearly in the system except for the accounting entries which you post manually. **Recommendations to others considering Geneva:** Yes if you are dealing in various types of securities and need a portfolio accounting world-class softwars. **What problems is Geneva solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was doing Portfloion accounting and NAV calculations using Geneva. The benefits are that it supports all types of securities and also you can customize the reports as per your requirements. ### 3. It is not widely used for Private Equity and waterfall though. **Recommendations to others considering Geneva:** Geneva is having good client interphase, and can be used across all areas of Hedge fund accoubting. It provide good control and connectivity with other systems. **What problems is Geneva solving and how is that benefiting you?** Geneva is an accounting software, I worked for all NAV accounting using this software, and I did it with ease. It also provide reports as per knowledge time, so you can identify backdated bookings with much ease. It also provide you control date and freeze point, so that you can stop any booking for financial period once it is approved. ### 7. Here in Geneva I see accounting leges are not appropriate, all debit and credit narration should clear and understandebale. Also it makes system compatible with almost all products available in market. **What do you dislike about Geneva?** Even after so many revisions and evaluation the RSL (it's proprietary reporting language) is still having small small bugs. **What problems is Geneva solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been working on Geneva since beginning of my carrier and it has been evolving in a much better way. ### 12.
