# Which Vendor Management solutions do compliance teams actually trust without searching for workarounds?

"Without searching for workarounds" is the real bar here; plenty of vendor management tools technically support compliance tracking, but end up needing a spreadsheet on the side anyway. Within Vendor Management, here's what's documented.

Vanta: Built specifically to automate compliance frameworks and GRC workflows natively, the core product rather than a bolted-on feature, which is why compliance teams tend to stay inside it rather than exporting to a side tracker.

SAP Fieldglass: Security features supporting global regulatory compliance and access tracking are built into the core external workforce workflow itself, not an add-on module.

Stampli: With all AI-suggested entries subject to human review before posting to the ERP, the compliance trail stays inside one system rather than needing a manual cross-check elsewhere.

For compliance teams running one of these, is there still a specific edge case where you end up falling back to a manual spreadsheet anyway?

Even with tools built around compliance natively, the edge case that seems to keep surfacing is anything involving a one-off vendor arrangement that doesn't fit the standard workflow, a legacy contract, an exception approved outside the usual process, that kind of thing. The core recurring vendor tracking mostly stays inside the platform, but the exceptions are where a side spreadsheet tends to creep back in, since the tool was built for the common case rather than the edge case.
