One of the biggest benefits to our students using Gaggle is that they can receive services at home thus not being pulled out of class and missing instructional time. **What do you dislike about Gaggle?** The downside of using Gaggle is that students don't have that in-person support person on site to check in with if they are having challenges throughout the day. This is not a failure on the part of Gaggle but simply the facts of utilizing virtual support. **What problems is Gaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gaggle is solving the fact that we do not have counselors, social workers, or mental health providers in our small school district. Mental health resources are scarce in the county and many families work and are not able to take their child to an office for therapy during the day when offices are open. ### 4. Even on weekends, calls come through alerting admin of serious concerns. I have had several experiences where due to a Gaggle alert message students' lives were saved. Partnering with Gaggle has been crucial for our district to also stay on top of possible situations developing during the school day. Depending on the severity of situations, I have gotten emails, texts, and phone calls to make sure that any student identified as being immediately at risk gets the support that he/she needs. **What do you dislike about Gaggle?** The only downside of Gaggle is having many classroom assignments in which students discuss traumatic things that have happened in their lives get flagged by the system. They monitor student-generated content such as documents and emails and do a great job sifting through and blocking inappropriate content and communications. My favorite feature is the human content vetting component when a person on Gaggles team looks at flagged content and in severe cases contacts the relevant staff at the school to handle the incident. Through Gaggle we have been able to identify bullying and self-harm messages and work through those issues with our internal counselor and psychologist. Gaggle will also forward relevant emails to our SRO in case of emergencies. **What do you dislike about Gaggle?** I have not yet run into any severe product flaws. There has not been an obvious issue that has been missed. **What problems is Gaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Although not in any way limited to our school bullying, drugs, threats of violence, and self-harm do occur. Digital note-passing and bullying were previously very difficult to catch and prevent. Gaggle has helped greatly reduce the amount of inappropriate digital content being shared in the school. It has also allowed us to address threats of violence and identify students who are struggling emotionally. ### 23. Sometimes something can look dangerous to a robot but there is an explanation when a human reviews the alerts as well. Gaggle reviews out students emails and google drive documents. I cannot think of anything Gaggle needs to do to be better. They bring warmth to an otherwise stressful and challenging subject - student scenarios. Their support is the benchmark by which I compare other supports (love you Drew!) and their ability to quickly and effectively communicate with our teams is astonishing. The one time they struggled with communicating a non-emergency issue, I explained my concerns and they listened and have since adjusted. There's no way we could review everything that's written and that's where Gaggle comes in. Their system monitors all of their email traffice and written works and alerts us to any threats both imminent and suspected to address. If a student is in immediate danger, we receive a phone call alerting us to the issue and they don't stop calling until they reach a live person to report the issue 24/7/365. **What do you dislike about Gaggle?** I wish it would work across every program students use. We're limited to only system provided email communications and their cloud accounts that are associated with that account. **What problems is Gaggle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping an eye on student safey 24/7/365. Nothing on Gaggle's end solely just seemed like so many hoops to get through before we could get the service working. It is hard to pay for a service but not have it used for six months during setup.
