Fusion is a fantastic program for managing schedules and patient progress reports. Fusion should be used as the primary program for scheduling and paperwork in all clinic settings. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** The fact that fusion software is first challenging to grasp is its least beneficial quality. It has overall been a good experience. I know exactly where to go to enter all the clinical data. That has been helpful. Also, I like that I have quick acess to the Pre Enrollment log and the ReConsent log and I can run reports and see all the queries. Overall, it has been an easy EDC to implement at my site. I do love the Customer support! If I have a question, I know I can get an answer quickly. That is great! **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** I don't like how the Medical History is in the Screening visit only and not a separate tab that I can add to after the Screening Visit for conditions that the patients forgot to tell me at Screening. I also don't like how some of the boxes seem to be marked as required, even when they are not for the visit. There should be more options for data being "Not applicable" instead of just leaving an "X". **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is my EDC and collects the data for the Sponsor of the trial. They are always willing to help with any issue and even discuss workflows. The teams is continuously improving and taking feedback from the clinical sites to make the EDC as effective and efficient as possible. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** Some processes can be redudnant and my biggest complaint would be the SDR process. Sometimes that can be frustrating when you have to send out multiple communications just to change a data point. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Efficient data entry. They are constantly taking feedback to improve their product. This in my opionion is the biggest strenght of the product to constantly put it on the hot seat and use the feedback to improve. Its very vunurable for them to do this so constistantly so they can make the product work for their customers. ### 4. Most of the interface is quite intuitive. It is easy to respond to queries. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** Sometimes it is hard to navigate to a specific page in a study visit. For example if I need to upload a file pertaining to a specific visit, it makes me go through all the pages in the visit to reach the final upload page. It would be helpful to be able to go directly into that page. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps to consolidate our data and provides a secure and organized way to share the data with our study sponsor. ### 5. It makes it more simple to have everything in one place. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** Two users cannot work on the same subject at the same time, slowing down the process of data entry. Once an item is in REV status, we are unable to edit the data without having to contact several people to unfreeze the data. When there are multiple subjects on a study, it is too difficult to edit/ change data or work on the data without jumping through several hoops to answer a single question. Additionally, since the website is still in production, new pages are constantly being added and old subjects who were in completion status are marked as incomplete, making it seem like the data was never completed. Furthermore, our site has noticed that Fushion will delete the data that we enter from time to time, even when they are in SDR. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our site had issues populating the lab normal ranges and so for a long time, we were unable to SDV any data. They have since solved that issue. Additionally, for this study we started the data entry on a different EDC and so we were waiting for Fushion to rollover the data from the old EDC to Fushion EDC. ### 6. I also like that the pages auto-save. Customer support has always been quick to reply to our problems. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** There is not a great way to determine what forms still need to be completed. The main issues I have dealt with are likely related to the study specific build and their inexperience. The overall design is a little dated from an aesthetic perspective. The auto-save feature is nice, but if you pause in your typing for more than a few seconds the page will autosave and when you resume typing you have to enter a reason why you are editing your data. I wish the auto-save was less frequent to avoid this. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fusion eClinical seems like a less intuitive version of RedCap. In all honesty, it is my least favorite EDC I have encountered. We have had mre issues with this EDC than any other platform we have used. I know some of this stems from the sponsor not being as clinical minded when building the EDC. ### 7. The basic infrustructure (how different cards are arrenged) is also quite clear. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** I think the system is overly complicated and with many hidden glitches that make work of CRAs and clinical staff much harder. For example, if you do not do something in an exact sequence event you might be unable to complete a simple task. If a query is issued only to confirm some value, the site cannot change the value if needed. I understand some of these limitations are built in for the sake of data integrity, but until we figured some of them out, it was a source of constant frustration. Out of the ten first patients, for only a few the site team members were successful in correctly assigning the drug vials, even with telephone support from their CRAs. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Somehow it is easier for me to think about the problems it creates. But, I guess Fusion is very good when you need to look up some information about a date of shipment received, or to quickly find some crucial piece of information from EDC. ### 8. The General Log concept as a means of communicating with the medical monitor has been nice as everything is well memorialized. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** When making a small typographical correction to an SAE (or several in a row) the system bombards emails with the update. It would be nice if it prompted the user to confirm that the update is complete so that several changes could be made as a single update. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fusion does a good job as both an EDC and study portal with the latest regulatory documents such as newsletters. Also, there is no easy access to the number to dial once an interview is scheduled. IT offered the opportunity to break down information by week or by month or even the full history of usage. It gave compliance scores and options to add or detract information based on information given from the participants and the site. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** The start up of this program was very lengthy and required many different entities to navigate. Our IT department had to reach out to the IT divsion of the product and still there were several hurdles that created issues over several days to get the program established and usable at the site intake level. **What problems is Fusion eClinical Suite EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problem of relying on the participants ability to capture usage data by doing it in real time. ### 13. This application even enabled us to make up for missing or even forgotten data. Updates are made regularly.This application can be used on smartphones and computers. If you are using your laptop touch pad and fat finger a drop down menu you will have to answer a query. All of the questions are not present on the eCRFs. You have to answer questions to get more questions. That means that you have to wait on the EDC to load the questions, you can potentially save a page without answering all of the questions because they took too long to load, you have to do lots of extra clicking because you have to constantly click in the white space to see if another question will load. They try to put everything on the home page which results in tabs too small to read. If I inputted an error, I would have to call the study sponsor or IT to unlock it so I could correct. Provide an update on data that is still pending. I hhad to manually input each kit that was used, which was very time-consuming. The design of the datase was easy to navigate and the helpdesk was easily accessible, and resetting of passwords were always completed in a timely manner, even with the time zone difference. **What do you dislike about Fusion eClinical Suite EDC?** There was no issues as such when using the database, and it was easy for clinnicans to navigate through.
