## About Foxpass by Splashtop
Foxpass Cloud RADIUS by Splashtop is a fully managed, cloud-hosted RADIUS authentication service designed to provide secure, passwordless access to Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, and various network infrastructures. This solution is particularly tailored for IT teams that prioritize security, control, and operational simplicity. By employing certificate-based and identity-based authentication protocols, Foxpass ensures that every device and user connection is validated, enhancing the overall security posture of an organization. The product is especially beneficial for organizations looking to eliminate the vulnerabilities associated with shared passwords. By utilizing X.509 certificate authentication (EAP-TLS) and identity-driven policies (EAP-TTLS), Foxpass facilitates the implementation of Zero Trust principles. This approach allows organizations to assign role-based access controls and maintain comprehensive audit visibility without the need for on-premises servers or complex Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Such features make Foxpass an appealing choice for enterprises, educational institutions, and global teams seeking to streamline their authentication processes. Foxpass seamlessly integrates with various identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure), Google, OKTA, and OneLogin. This integration is complemented by automated certificate management capabilities through leading Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Kandji, and Addigy. Additionally, the built-in Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) workflows enable secure enrollment of unmanaged or personal devices, ensuring that organizations can maintain security standards while accommodating diverse device types. Compliance with industry standards is another critical aspect of Foxpass. The service is designed to meet regulations such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FERPA, and CIPA, making it suitable for organizations with stringent compliance requirements. Furthermore, Foxpass offers regional hosting and data residency options, which are essential for organizations that must adhere to specific sovereignty or privacy mandates. This flexibility ensures that users can implement Foxpass in a manner that aligns with their operational and regulatory needs. Overall, Foxpass Cloud RADIUS by Splashtop stands out in the authentication service category by providing a robust, cloud-based solution that enhances security, simplifies management, and supports compliance across various industries. Its focus on passwordless access and seamless integration with existing identity systems positions it as a valuable tool for organizations aiming to enhance their network security infrastructure.

## Foxpass by Splashtop Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless Centralized Authentication with Reliable RADIUS and Clear Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elias A. | Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

What I like most about Foxpass by Splashtop is how seamlessly it centralizes authentication and access control across our environment. The integration with directory services makes it incredibly easy to manage user access for Wi-Fi, VPN, and servers from a single place, which has significantly reduced administrative overhead.

From a workflow perspective, it saves us a lot of time—especially when onboarding or offboarding users. Instead of touching multiple systems, we can make changes once and have them propagate automatically. The RADIUS integration for WPA2-Enterprise has been especially valuable, giving us stronger security while still being easy to manage.

Another unexpected benefit has been the reliability and visibility it provides. Troubleshooting authentication issues is much faster because of the clear logging and centralized control. Overall, it’s been a solid improvement to both our security posture and day-to-day efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

One downside of Foxpass is that some aspects of the UI and configuration can feel a bit limited or unintuitive, especially when troubleshooting more complex authentication issues. While the core functionality is strong, navigating logs and pinpointing root causes can sometimes take longer than expected.

In terms of integrations, while it works well with standard directory services, there’s room for improvement in flexibility and depth—particularly when trying to align it with more advanced or customized environments. Expanding integration options or providing more granular controls would make it even more powerful.

Performance has generally been reliable, but occasional delays in authentication or policy updates can impact the user experience, especially in environments that rely heavily on real-time access (like Wi-Fi or VPN).

Finally, onboarding and documentation could be improved. While the platform is relatively straightforward, having more detailed guides or real-world configuration examples would help reduce setup time and make troubleshooting easier.

**What problems is Foxpass by Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Foxpass, managing authentication across Wi-Fi, VPN, and internal systems was more manual and fragmented. We had to rely on multiple tools and processes to provision and deprovision access, which increased the risk of inconsistencies and delayed response times—especially during onboarding and offboarding.

With Foxpass, we’ve centralized authentication using our directory service, allowing us to manage access from a single source of truth. This has streamlined user provisioning and significantly reduced the time it takes to grant or revoke access. What used to take multiple steps across different systems can now be handled in one place, saving us several hours each week in administrative effort.

It has also strengthened our security posture by enforcing consistent authentication policies (such as WPA2-Enterprise for Wi-Fi and secure RADIUS-based access), reducing the likelihood of unauthorized access. Additionally, troubleshooting is faster due to centralized logging, which helps us quickly identify and resolve authentication issues.

Overall, Foxpass has improved both operational efficiency and security, while reducing manual workload and the potential for human error.

  ### 2. Foxpass Engineering Support with Multi-Device Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee D. | Senior Systems Analyst, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

We support a wide range of devices and operating systems, which required multiple configuration approaches—this was not a one-size-fits-all setup. Foxpass provided a free trial along with direct access to their engineering team, who worked closely with us to ensure everything was properly configured and functioning across all of our environments. We have been live for about 3 months now and have had a few issues come up, but their support staff has been fairly quick to reply and address the issues.

**What do you dislike about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

One limitation we’ve encountered is with MAC authentication management. While the feature itself works well, the MAC Entries page only allows sorting by labels (e.g., phones, tablets, printers) and does not support assigning aliases or friendly names. Once entries are added, they cannot be renamed, which makes it difficult to identify and search for specific devices.

**What problems is Foxpass by Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing a company-wide RADIUS solution has significantly strengthened our network security posture. We no longer rely on shared passwords that can be exposed or reused, and access is now limited strictly to authorized users and devices. This has given us much better control and visibility over what is allowed on the network and has reduced the risk of unauthorized access.

  ### 3. Foxpass for the win

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** llopez@kuehnecompany.com L. | CyberSecurity Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

We currently use Foxpass as our 802.1x solution because we don’t have an on-prem server environment. The setup was very straightforward, and the documentation backs that up. Integration has also been easy, which is a big plus since we’re a Microsoft shop. I haven’t needed to contact support for any issues so far, and that’s another positive for me.

**What do you dislike about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

At the moment, I don’t have any dislikes about Foxpass; it’s doing exactly what it’s intended to do.

**What problems is Foxpass by Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don’t have an Active Directory environment, so a RADIUS server isn’t required for our Wi‑Fi deployment. Foxpass offered a cloud-based solution that was a no-brainer for us, and it integrates smoothly with what we already have in place.

  ### 4. Effortless Setup, Robust Authentication Features

I really appreciate the ease of use with Foxpass by Splashtop. We managed to convert our system over from our previous vendor to Foxpass in just a couple of days, and updated all 4 of our enterprise sites very quickly. I like that it offers user-based authentication instead of machine-based, so we can quickly lock users out if needed. The interface is easy to understand, and the documentation is clear, which made setting up our account and configuration quick and efficient. I also like the redundancy built into the system; it gives us peace of mind that everything will work well.

I like using the API and temporary access feature to manage hostgroups with Foxpass by Splashtop. The initial setup was very easy, which made the experience smooth right from the beginning. We configure our VMs to have no access by default, and we appreciate being able to use an in-house script to enable access through the system.

**What do you dislike about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

The UI was sometimes confusing even when using the tool for a long time. Group synchronization also occasionally had hiccups.

**What problems is Foxpass by Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Foxpass by Splashtop to centrally manage user permissions and control VM access effectively. The API and temporary access feature allow refined user management, ensuring VMs have no default access, enhancing security with an internal script.

  ### 7. Best Cloud RADIUS Solution: Easy Setup, Strong Security, Zero Maintenance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

The standout for me is the fully managed cloud RADIUS with passwordless, certificate-based authentication (EAP-TLS). It removes the need for shared Wi‑Fi passwords and avoids the ongoing hassle of running local RADIUS servers—no hardware to manage, no complicated setup, and the ability to revoke access immediately for offboarded users or compromised devices. I also appreciate the zero-trust approach, which continuously validates identity and device trust on every connection, giving real peace of mind for our corporate Wi‑Fi and VPN access. Setup only took minutes thanks to smooth integration with Entra ID and our MDM, and the 99.9%+ uptime with global redundancy has made it feel consistently reliable.

**What do you dislike about Foxpass by Splashtop?**

I don’t have many real dislikes—overall, it just works really well and does what I need.

**What problems is Foxpass by Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Foxpass by Splashtop solves the big headaches of managing shared Wi-Fi passwords and maintaining on-prem RADIUS servers that are hard to scale and secure. It eliminates shared credentials entirely by enabling passwordless, certificate-based authentication (EAP-TLS) with zero-trust enforcement—only verified users and enrolled devices get access, with instant revocation when someone leaves.
