Other thing to note is that you don't need to have advanced programming knowledge since this system provides you with an intuitive environment so that you can create what you want with just a few clicks thanks to the graphic editor that integrates, the user just has to choose what they want to incorporate into its website and the software does the whole coding part for you. **What do you dislike about Format?** It does not allow the functions of edition if you connect by means of your smart phone lowering your productivity and preventing you from working outside a working environment and only making changes through its web application. There are optimization issues regarding the image upload mechanism that creates delays depending on the image format you want to use. Format offers great functionalities to create a portfolio website quickly and easily, as it does not have programming knowledge I thought it would be a problem to create what I had in mind but thanks to the graphic editor that has Format all my concerns faded, so I was able to work on web design without any technical problems. ### 6. I love the ease and efficiency of being able to quickly uploads my work and know that it's going to be displayed perfectly in the ready made theme. My favourite feature though is the Proofing section. Being able to send client proofs that are password protected is SO helpful. **What do you dislike about Format?** I'd like a little more customisation options, especially for mobile considering many websites are built mobile first. Another small thing I'd like to see added on the proofing area is being able to see who has accessed the gallery. At the minute it only shows who's downloaded the images. I'd like to be able to see who has viewed them. **What problems is Format solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems I had were wanting to show my work and let the images do the talking, full screen and simple and Format solved this. I find it’s one of the easiest sites to use with the most professional outcome but it is on the steeper side of web hosting. **Recommendations to others considering Format:** Definitely use format if you are looking for a great and professional site but you have little web design / coding experience. A flash intro would be a great thing to have on my site. I would also love to have more "pages" or features for my "intro" page to chose from, the intro page is the page that goes before my landing page. **Recommendations to others considering Format:** My advice for those looking at Format is to avoid hesitation, and start using it full time. Format make things easier and they are always ready to help.I remember my first contact with their support team, it was to connect my gmail account to the business email (using my host name). There is a good plan variety, with most affordable option at a competitive price. Templates are easy to fill with content, technical support is great, service is exceptionally well-maintained. My website never crashed. **What do you dislike about Format?** There are some limitations as per number of galleries, photos you can upload / store, number of products in your store etc, that come with the most affordable plan. The editing of any single template is limited. It's less flexible than Squarespace in terms of building the template, but suits basic needs well. **Recommendations to others considering Format:** Format is a best fit for users who need a simple presentation-type website with some additional functions. It is a key element in a professional photographer's work to be able to show your images in a quick, efficient way. Some of the templates are kinda of blah. Setting up the SEO functionality can be a little confusing for a beginner. The cheapest option allowed max 100 images, which was sufficient for a photography portfolio site. The inclusive templates were sufficient, though requires some thinking around to make the most out of them. The automatic responsive website layout also allows for easy building Easy integration with domain name and site management **What do you dislike about Format?** The templates included are sometimes a bit restrictive, need to think around to make the best out of it To make use of customised HTML/CSS codes, Format requires upgrading to the next tier, which I was unwilling to pay for and therefore had to juggle around with the layouts **Recommendations to others considering Format:** Be clear about what you want and need to build, then shop around and understand the limitations of different site building tools. They compete well with Squarespace's selection. Customer service is also excellent. Always available to answer all of my questions. **What do you dislike about Format?** The dashboard and design settings change so frequently I can't ever remember how to edit my website. That's the most frustrating part. There are so many updates it's hard to keep up. I also use a program called Narrative to do my blogging for my business and I need to be able to upload HTML to the "blog" section of my site in order to use the back end SEO benefits that Narrative offers and Format doesn't allow this. There is no weird options and the price is quite good. **What do you dislike about Format?** Regardless of how I like simplicity of the 4ormat I don't like how limited I am with templates. There is such a small room to improve the template that a) my website never looks exactly how I want b) after while I can recognise others people websites that they made by 4ormat, it makes them just look the same - and no artist wants to look the same as others. This allows you to upload all the high resolution photographs from a shoot and then share them privately with a client. It looks very professional and it is very easy to use. **What do you dislike about Format?** The least helpful thing about Format is that the design can be restrictive. For example, you can not use custom font and there is a limited selection.This is not too say that I think it should be fully customisable (like a drag and drop website.
