A stated anti-customization philosophy is easy to claim before a project starts; the real test comes later, when a client's business requirement genuinely doesn't fit Broadleaf's out-of-box model. At that point, a partner who's built their pitch around avoiding customization has an incentive to talk the client into compromising the requirement rather than admit this specific case actually needs it, since building the customization contradicts their own positioning. The same discipline that keeps costs down on cases that don't need customization can turn into pressure to under-serve the cases that genuinely do, so it's worth asking each partner directly for an example of a requirement they did choose to customize for, not just the ones they talked a client out of.
