Honestly, I like ForkLift because it makes file management much simpler than the Finder. Everything is clearer, you have duplicate windows, so you can move things around super quickly without any hassle. I also like the fact that it connects directly to servers, FTP, SFTP, etc., without having to struggle with 50 settings. It's a bit like "click --> it works," and that feels good.
The interface is clean, not too cluttered, and you can quickly find what you want. When I'm working with lots of folders, it saves me time and prevents me from rage-quitting because Finder is slow or opens everything in new windows like an overexcited child. In short, it's simple, efficient, and it definitely makes my life easier when I'm sorting or transferring files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On the other hand, there are some annoying things. Sometimes the folders don't update right away, you moved a file but you don't see it, it's annoying. And there are so many options in the menus that you don't know where to click anymore, you can quickly get lost. At the beginning too, when you're used to the Finder, you look for where the simple things are, it takes a little while to get used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
