## ForkLift Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless File Management, Minor Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ForkLift?**

Honestly, I like ForkLift because it makes file management much simpler than the Finder. Everything is clearer, you have duplicate windows, so you can move things around super quickly without any hassle. I also like the fact that it connects directly to servers, FTP, SFTP, etc., without having to struggle with 50 settings. It's a bit like "click --> it works," and that feels good.

The interface is clean, not too cluttered, and you can quickly find what you want. When I'm working with lots of folders, it saves me time and prevents me from rage-quitting because Finder is slow or opens everything in new windows like an overexcited child. In short, it's simple, efficient, and it definitely makes my life easier when I'm sorting or transferring files.

**What do you dislike about ForkLift?**

On the other hand, there are some annoying things. Sometimes the folders don't update right away, you moved a file but you don't see it, it's annoying. And there are so many options in the menus that you don't know where to click anymore, you can quickly get lost. At the beginning too, when you're used to the Finder, you look for where the simple things are, it takes a little while to get used to it.

**What problems is ForkLift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ForkLift mainly helps me manage my files faster and without hassle. Before, with the Finder, I wasted time moving files between folders or on servers, now everything is simpler and faster. I can directly connect to FTP or SFTP servers without having to worry, and it saves me from clicking everywhere. In short, it saves me time and makes work less boring.

  ### 2. Simple, Fast, and Reliable File Manager for Mac"

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ForkLift?**

It’s super fast, feels really lightweight, and makes moving or syncing files between locations easy. I like the dual-pane view and the quick connect to FTP, SFTP, or cloud drives. The UI is clean, no bloat, and it just works.

**What do you dislike about ForkLift?**

Sometimes it crashes after macOS updates or struggles a bit with very large folders. I wish the dark mode and icon themes had more options. Would be cool to have even deeper integration with cloud services.

**What problems is ForkLift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ForkLift makes it really easy to manage files across different servers and cloud drives, all in one place. It saves me a lot of time compared to using Finder or separate apps. Tasks like syncing, batch renaming, or connecting via FTP/SFTP are just way faster and less frustrating. It keeps my workflow simple and organized.

  ### 3. Fast and User-Friendly, But Resource-Heavy with Multiple Transfers

Folk is really useful to help me to be more organized and manage my files. Before, I used to lose a lot of time between files and servers; now everything is in the same place.

**What do you like best about ForkLift?**

I use FTP for file transfers pretty much everyday. Easy dual pane interface to navigate, Forklift has been my goto FTP app for many years. It does everything I need in a simple organized way.

**What do you dislike about ForkLift?**

My only issue with Forklift is it sometimes hangs a bit before the file transfers start. This might not be a Forklift issue, it could be my hosts, but there is no real way to know.

**Recommendations to others considering ForkLift:**

When you come from a different FTP product, there is a learning curve here. Simple things like "Window placement" can be done, just need to learn where/how.

**What problems is ForkLift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need an FTP to transfer files between many cloud hosts, and I need one that just works. Setup is easy, bookmarks are easy to navigate, and can have multiple connections open at a time.
