Forcepoint has a robust Web Security Intelligence to block emerging web threats every minute, every day, every year. Support is quick and very robust. The Engineers are well trained and problems are solved rather quickly. **What do you dislike about Forcepoint Web Security?** You have to learn that the appliance has other "virtual machines" running on it. The CLI can be quite intimidating at first as it is a hardened proprietary Linux appliance. You have to do some learning on troubleshooting using the CLI as the GUI troubleshooting tools are limited, like I said it is intimidating at first but the system is very stable and troubleshooting is not an everyday thing. There are also some web sites or web applications which don't work well with the Content Management Gateway (another "VM" in the appliance) and have to "tunnel" them or bypass SSL decryption for them to work for your users **Recommendations to others considering Forcepoint Web Security:** This is a very stable platform which can have uptimes of 2 years non stop! The website is slow, and clunky. The design is not user friendly for help desk staff, and there ARE NO LISTS OF WHAT WEBSITES ARE BEING AFFECTED BY WHAT CATEGORIES whatsoever. This makes troubleshooting very difficult when attempting to locate why a domain is being blocked. We had to create an extensive whitelist to make the product work, as unblocking a category would allow domains we DID not want access to, although a legitimate domain may be included in a blocked category. The Forcepoint agent has to be deployed to all systems that need to be monitored or restricted, when uninstalling, additional steps need to be followed in order to allow access back to the internet. You will need to deploy a certificate with your certificates GPO to allow HTTPS access. To me, the product feels very amateur, and one does not simply bust through the phone tree for support.
