Since most of the resources are handled and checked out through the library it unifies the checking out, the tracking, and the inventory of those items to a single system. **What do you dislike about Follett Destiny Resource Manager?** Probably the worst part is the resource import process. What could be a system with a CSV template instead uses a much more complicated XML conversion process and tool. Takes what could use a process familiar to most people and makes it a multistep complex process involving multiple files that most people aren't familiar with. Expecially when they only do this once or twice a year. **What problems is Follett Destiny Resource Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlined checkout, accounting, and processing of resources like Chromebooks can be a time consuming process with a robust and organized system in place. Resource Manager helps us process devices to our students in an organized way. It also allows us to reliably track what students have what items as well as account for lost items that might be turned in to teachers, Offices, or the Library. It dislike that at the district level, we cannot view or edit student records. I can bulk import and easily search with various criteria (asset tag number, serial number, etc). One-stop-shopping convenience when working with library materials or devices - I can manage all, including staff users, from one console. RM is supported by the same top-notch support system as Library manager - always available, knowledgeable, and patient. **What do you dislike about Follett Destiny Resource Manager?** Just about the only complaint I have is I cannot fully edit fines. I used to use a database that I set up myself, but I spent a lot of time trying 'messing' with it because I am not a database expert. I teach, take care of our network and keep up with all my technology devices. FDRM allows me to update my inventory quickly and run the reports I need for Administration. I was able to easily implement the program because of the support Follett provided. I use FDRM mostly at the beginning and end of each school year because that is when I purchase new products and retire old ones. Bulk creating and templates make everything so easy and efficient. Indexing through inventory is also super easy and understandable. We incorporated the product just last summer and have made so much progress in such a short time, making it easy and effective to implement. Whenever we send out new products, we can add them so easily, which we do nearly every day. For the first few months, support had checked up on us, ensuring everything was operating smoothly and effectively. **What do you dislike about Follett Destiny Resource Manager?** One thing which I dislike about the FDRM is that I have been attempting to find a way to manage some inventory, in our case, for sporting equipment, by model of product. My example is keeping inventory on baseball bats. THe other resource I use to manage tech can give me details like users, active sessions and ip address.
