FieldSignal Reviews & Product Details

FieldSignal is the field data collection app built for renewable energy and environmental work: GPS-tagged notes, photos, checklists, offline maps, and AI-generated PDF reports in one app designed for sites with no signal. Built by a field professional with twenty years on wind, solar, and battery storage projects. CAPTURE ONCE, AT THE POINT OF OBSERVATION. Text, voice-to-text, and photos with coordinates embedded at the moment of capture. Annotate photos in the field. Scan barcodes and QR codes to identify equipment. Video capture, voice notes, and weather data captured with the visit. CHECKLISTS AND INSPECTION FORMS. Build custom forms with nine field types, conditional logic, signatures, and in-form photos, or start from the industry template library: solar PV, wind turbine, battery storage, and environmental templates. Corrective actions and issue tracking. OFFLINE FIRST. Capture, checklists and saved maps work with zero connectivity. Capture all day; the app syncs automatically when a connection returns. Cache offline map tiles for the sites you visit. PROFESSIONAL GIS. Import shapefiles and georeferenced GeoPDF maps. Draw and measure directly on the map. Export as SHP, KML, and GeoJSON back into your GIS workflow. AI-GENERATED REPORTS. A Field Observations report while the visit is under way and a structured Site Visit Report when it ends. Branded PDF and DOCX reports emailed from the app before you leave the site, with your logo. TEAMS. Shared visits with full attribution and audit trails. Visit assignment, team map overlays, and consent-based location sharing. Field Check-In for coordinating distributed crews. Sign-off and approval. FIVE LANGUAGES. English, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and German, across the app, reports, emails and notifications. Available on iOS and Android. Every new install includes 14 days of full access with no credit card. After the trial, keep capturing on the free plan or subscribe to Professional. Team plans are sold on the website.
