The easy integration with our CRM software made using this daily a great piece of software. When I ran my speaking company we did 14 live events per month, plus annual convention and quarterly promotion events. The easy implementation, ease of setup and high quality customer support made this software the best tools for the job. **What do you dislike about Event Espresso?** Some of the way it handled tax reporting into Keap was cumbersome and required extra steps for us in book keeping. Other than that - I loved it. **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** I did a full case study on the issues here https://seegerconsultinginc.com/wte-case-study/. The issues were around: 1) Ticket processing at multiple venues in real-time. 2) Multiple ticket type options. 3) Discounts, Rewards, and reports. Multiple discount types and the ability to apply more than one discount to a ticket. 4) easy on site check-in that volunteers could run. ### 2. Very easy to insert into a page as custom code, and does not require you to upgrade to the full license in order to use basic features such as custom payments **What do you dislike about Event Espresso?** The customization features are powerful, yet are organized in a way that requires some getting used too. Not all features are explained in depth; can take some time to set up exactly the way you want it. **Recommendations to others considering Event Espresso:** If you want to host event registrations on your Wordpress site, I highly recommend using this plugin! While there are a few issues in terms of ease of use, this plugin offers unparalleled features and works with little to no buys. **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** Event registration & payment for a large youth event we are hosting. This plugin allows us to integrate our event directly into our website, manage registrations and track payments with few problems; providing an unparalleled experience. The ability to customize pre-determined payment methods (such as cheque, money order, paypal, etc) allows us to integrate our own payment system (Pushpay) in the app, which accepts and records the registrations and forwards the client to the payment portal ### 5. Really simple to place into a page as custom-made code, and does not need you to update to the complete license in order to utilize standard functions such as customized payments. **What do you dislike about Event Espresso?** I want the strategies were a bit more practical for somebody who is simply getting going. **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** EVENT Espresso enables us to supply a simple online registration experience for our clients. If you are a power user, consider being a beta tester as new modules come out (we did that and it was really helpful for us as well as providing good feedback to them) **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** Event Espresso has made it far easier for us to sell tickets to our events. It's design is specifically focused on that, as opposed to other common e-tail products which are focused on goods. As we have used it over the past 3 years, the functionality has improved -- things like moving someone from one event to another, the ability to do back-end entry for panelists and vendors have been particularly helpful for us. ### 7. Event Espresso also allows us to integrate our registration right into our website rather than sending the traffic off to a third party. There are lots of add-ons to get exactly the functionality you want. **What do you dislike about Event Espresso?** I wish there was a built-in panel that would allow you to change the wording easily. For example, calling the shopping cart the "event cart" and calling registrants "attendees" is not the most appropriate for our situation. **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** Event Espresso allows us to provide an easy online registration experience for our customers without breaking the bank. ### 8. You host and manage events from within Wordpress, so it's possible to build out a more robust presence for your event, including supporting content, downloads, etc. Additionally, there's a lot of flexibility, in terms of email templates, payment options, payment integration gateways, question types, etc. Being able to invoice and pay offline, as an option, was fantastic. The product is being actively developed, with new versions and plugins being regularly released. I've also found the support forums to be pretty responsive. **What do you dislike about Event Espresso?** No everything is streamlined yet; there's a few places were workarounds are necessary, when our workflow doesn't exactly match theirs. For example, when having parents register multiple children without having to repeat information, or when registering staff/volunteers for an event that also has paid attendees, or setting up installment plans as a payment option. In every case, I've been able to set up workarounds that were acceptable, but it would obviously be nicer if everything was baked in, though I understand that's not entirely realistic. Built in reporting is also limited. I've really needed to do that with the CSV exports. **Recommendations to others considering Event Espresso:** Use the support forums if you run into issues. There's usually a workaround. Also, they have a Trello board for requesting features. **What problems is Event Espresso solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was working with a client who was familiar with Wordpress. They had used a few different approaches to event registration/payment, but weren't happy with any of them. Some were too expensive, others not flexible enough. Event Espresso was a great fit for them.
